"don't you guys even know?" one of the brother's asked. the two were finally starting to calm down. "It's Annual Rescue Castle Appreciation Day here at our little shop!"

"Indeed," the other added. "Prove that your from a Rescue Castle, and you get free supplies from sun up today till dusk tonight!"

"Quite so," the other picked back up. "But we already know you all are from Tempest, so..." he again started to chuckle. Draidon glared at him.

"What the hell then!?" he shouted. "If we didn't have to even pay today, why did you ask me if had any money!?" The other Kecleon brother began laughing again now too.

"Ah, We just wanted to screw with you!" he said gleefully. "And it looks like you still don't have any cash either way!" Draidon glanced back at Ace and Sparks.

"No cash, eh?" he said to the two of them. "We'll have to fix that, won't we?" He turned back to the Brothers.

"One Reviver seed, please."

"Certainly."

The chameleon creature reached beneath the counter and pulled out a small bag, shaking it gently as a single seed fell out. Draidon reached up and pushed the seed back across the counter to him.

"What's this?" the other brother asked, thoroughly perplexed.

"I'd like to sell this Reviver seed, please..." Draidon said, smirking. "I do believe the going rate for a second hand one is about 400 Poke or so."

"W-wait..." one of them chided. "You can't do that! it's like high way robbery! Taking advantage of our kindness!"

"I'm not trying to take advantage of your kindness," Draidon retorted skillfully. "I'm just trying to get a point across. the laws of economy state that you have to buy what's offered to you by customer's, even if it's worthless... I'm just playing the system right now...so, will you be giving me my 400 Poke?" Neither one of the brothers was laughing either more. they glanced at each other, silent.

"I thought so," Draidon said. He reached up and retrieved the reviver seed, thus rescinding the offer. "Now then, Can we just forget about this little botched deal and do some business without you two laughing? or am I gonna have to ride the system?"

"Errmm... Terribly sorry about that, you all..." one of them admitted.

"Yes," the other said. "We shouldn't go laughing and messing around with Customers like that... Anyway, welcome to the shop, Today is Annual Rescue Appreciation Day, how may we help you fine members of Tempest?"

Alina followed the duo up the stairs, where she paused to take in her surroundings before she moved. There's a little water near the far wall, but a servine can beat me there. If I go straight to the corridor, the servine will see me. Im dead either way. The mudkip then noticed that the two pokemon she was following was sneaking around the room to grab a couple of items. i could use some items too.. My bag's empty except for the orb and a map. She took a step toward a special band several steps away. No reaction from the servine, except for its odd behavior of firing leaves at far off trees. She took another step. Nothing happened. And one more step. And promptly tripped over a trip trap. The girl scrambled, or tried to, at least (she still wasnt too used to walking on four, short, stubby appendages) gather her fallen items. Chasing the orb brought her to the water's edge.

Artemis looked at the paw in Mac's bag, then back at Mac and nodded. "Very well, I'll leave that to you. I'll go in and try to persuade Machamp if there are no other ideas." She waited for Otto's response before she took off. Artemis would rather not deal with a huge Pokemon like that alone, but considering their necessity for items and their current strength, it is better to negotiate than to start a fight right off the bat. Then again, since she is a girl, Artemis thought that fact might soften Machamp up. Males are less likely to fight a female in public, right?

Jory crept up behind Jake, shocked at the Mudkip's amateurish behavior. She's gonna get us all in trouble! he thought to himself, wondering how any good could possibly come of the Mudkip's action and anxiously watching the Servine for a sign that it had noticed the group.

"Well, you two don't seem to be a lying duo, but It's understandable for one to think such." Sparks implied, glancing at the duo, before adjusting his gaze to Draidon as he began to take a moment to think of everything that they'd need to get through Mt.Horn, "Reviver Seeds, Oran Berries, Escape Orbs, and Pecha Berries are all that i can think of." He claimed, hoping he got everything.

Scorpio looked at the Chimchar with a face full of questions, but he held in. “Well, I guess that works. Good to know you aren’t completely useless. Let’s move on!” he said while grabbing one of those spikes.

Agreeing with Skorupi, Pulse followed him, the Chimchar tailing her. The corridor they entered was mercifully short, opening up into a room with some coins in the corner, a yellow seed, and what looked like an Oran Berry next to it. There weren't any enemies that she could see at the moment, so she picked up the seed, inspecting it. She guessed that it was a Heal Seed by the look of it. Cautiously, the fire-type surveyed the area, lighting up the dim room, trying to peer into the next hallway out.

Roy had charged off, determined to complete his Donut quest.

He travelled far and wide, searching near and far. His spirit never wavered as he searched. His path was long, but eventually he arrived at his destination...

Again, he could smell that glorious smell. It taunted him, tickling his nose with the promise of sugary goodness.

"Sounds good to me. Hand a couple of those over," he said, moving his bag closer. "Everyone should carry a couple of them."

"OH! HI GUYS!" Roy hollered. Turns out he had been led back to where the kecleons were.
Roy approached the stand, this time at a normal pace.
"So, did the donut people come back?"

"Well, nice to see that you found your way back, Roy." He remarked, before facing towards Vincent, "What do you have in mind with Blast Seeds, Vince?" He questioned, wondering what the Lillipup had planned.

Roy had become bored, seeing how there was soon to be no hope of attaining his Donuts. He had been entertaining himself by thinking of how everyone would worship him and make him King of Tempest castle when Vincent asked Roy a question.

"Wha...?"

Realisation hit him for a second....

Then faded...

Then Hit him again, harder.

"Oh... OOOHHHH, That thing. Yah, that was spicy!" Roy said with a reminiscent grin. He liked spicy food.

After the party picked up the rest of the items (Pulse picked up the Oran Berry; the Chimchar nabbed about 100 poke), they headed out of the room. It felt strange, the lack of enemies that attacked them.. However as Pulse led the group into a spacious room filled with what looked like gummis, Pokemon started flooding in. With a Graveler leading the attack.

Otto finally managed to get through the Crowd, and stood between the Machamp and Kecleon Bros. Otto then spoke in a tone of voice that indicated he wouldn't be leaving until he got some answers.

"All right, what's going on here?!"

Chimchar was already spewing flames out at the Beldum that came close enough as it seemed that she had the longest ranged attacks out of the group. "I don't think we can stand this assault for long; grab what you can and I'll get us out of here!" Pulse cried out(which wasn't usually something she did, but no way was she fainting on her first job), raising the Escape Orb in her paw. As though in agreement the fire monkey nabbed a yellow Gummi and an oddly colored seed; it almost looked psychedelic when the light hit it at a certain angle, but for the most part it was unmistakably yellow. There were no Gummis Pulse could grab in time however, so instead she focused on repelling as much Pokemon as she could at a time by firing hostile telekinetic waves. Gradually the team was being backed into the center of the room, with Pokemon piling in, blocking their only routes of escape.

Scorpio threw some of the silver spikes he picked up earlier at the leader of the horde, slowing it down. He looked at the items still left but was unable to grab something. Not that he planned to dive straight in. “Get us out of here! We can’t win this one!” he yelled to Pulse.

Tempest

"Alright...here you are!" One of the brothers said as emerged from under the counter. he emptied the contents in his arms onto the wooden stand. counting to make sure he had gotten it right. "Three oran berries, two pechas, a Revive herb, and an escape orb. Your total is nothing." then he turned to face Draidon, rather sheepish from earlier. "Sorry..." he sighed. "We honestly wanted to give you more in order to make up for...earlier, but it seems we've been running rather low on stock lately. We've barely been able to get our hands any three of a particular item at a time..."

"It's fine," Driadon said. he turned to others. "Any of you got your treasure bag on you? I kinda left mine back at Tempest for the day..."

The Machamp glanced down at the tiny Oshawott at his feet.

"You see!" he said to the brothers. "You all should be ashamed, committing your scams in front of children! and then making me have to dish out some justice because of it!" He turned his attention back to the Oshawott, whom he presumed to be a child due to his size and unevolved state. "Don't get into this, kid." he advised. His face held genuine concern. "You'll just get hurt in the fight that's about to start!"

"We didn't mean to mark up the prices, damnit!" one of the brothers yelled; this time in a fury rather than fear. He looked around at everyone in the crowd. "OH COME ON!" he shouted. "Aren't any of you gonna come to our defense! You've all shopped here before! speak up, help us out!"

"Er..." Some one said.

"Well...um..." another chided.

"OH FOR THE LOVE OF ARCEUS!" the other brother shouted. "What, are you afraid of him!? Fine! but I'm not gonna stand back and take this slander!"

"well, actually," someone finally offered. "It's not that we're afraid of him... he's not a stranger around here. and truth be told, you two have kinda been moving the prices up little by little ever since you set up shop here a few months ago. Back when your cousins ran things... it was only done if that item was low in stock... but with you guys, everything's been goin up lately..."

"Yeah..." another pokemon seconded. "We kinda aren't surprised if you did something like this all of a sudden... it was kinda only a matter of time before you went to straight swindling us. So I'm actually kinda in favor of this guy dealing with you..."

"What!?" Both of the Chameleons cried simultaneously. the shock on their face was unforgettable. "U...Us? you think we would ever do that to you all!?" it was yet another voice in the crowd that answered.

"We don't have to think at this point; it's what you've been doing so far."

"So... if you were so misfortunate to go and try to pull your latest crap when Mr. Rodrick here came to buy, then... tough for ya; you honestly deserve what you get." Both brothers glanced at each other. things were going very, very, very badly now.

"Is...is this what you all really think of us?" one asked. "We haven't been trying to up the prices, honest... things have just been so much harder to find lately, we can barely keep three of any one item in stock at a time!" There was murmuring in the crowd. Machamp crossed all four of his arms, glaring at the lizards ominously.

"Prove it then," Rodrick ordered. He thrust one of his thumbs over his shoulder. "Show us the entire shop inventory, and if then we'll all know if you're lying or not. if you're telling us the truth; then I'll take you at your word about the mark up being a complete accident."

"OH...um..." they both scratched their heads nervously. "well, you see, we'd like to, but you kinda wrecked everythin-"

"Here you go!" Rodrick said, picking up their stand from where he had tossed it and dropping it down right in front of them. The two again glanced at each other, pure horror on their faces as they knelt down and began to take bag after bag of supplies from under the counter, one retreiving them from the chest, the other opening them and spreading the contents onto the stand. They at least ten bags filled with twenty Oran berries each, along with one bag stuffed to the brim with revive herbs, and another full of blast seeds, and more and more...

"Now... I'm not much one for hearing sometimes," Rodrick smirked as he watched the two quiver in fear before the crowd. "But I do believe that you said, and I quote: things have just been so much harder to find lately, we can barely keep three of any one item in stock at a time!- End quote." Neither brother had anything to say. They looked down at the inventory on the table with complete guilt. "You know..." Rodrick continued. "This type of business ethics is an absolute disgrace to the shop your cousins used to operate here; absolutely shameful..." with that, he turned and began walking away slowly, but not before picking up Otto and moving him out of the Crowd's war path, placing him beside him as he stopped a short distance away and prepared to watch the lying bastards get their just-desserts. The various town dwellers assembled there began to inch forward towards the Brothers, anger on their faces... so this is why the Machamp hadn't launched a single attack at them. He knew that the others would be just as pissed off by their deceit and treachery just as much as he was...

"Ugh," Artemis growled. "I hate helping out those Kecleon brothers, but we are not going to get anywhere like this." Without another second, she flew above the heads of the Pokemon and landed in front of the brothers.

"STOP! JUST WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING? Do you all really think you are in the right by hurting them?!" Artermis shouted towards the crowd. "I agree that they have cheated you; they are crooks! But if you decided to hurt them out of spite, you just determined that you are no better than they are! Think about it, would Officer Magnezone and his crew thank you for hurting another Pokemon? No, he would say that YOU also had a hand in violence. YOU are breaking the law by inflicting pain on others."

Artemis stepped to the side, allowing the brothers and the crowd to see each other. "Why don't we calm down and settle this like reasonable Pokemon? For example, the brothers can offer up all of their supplies or your money back and you won't have to pay a Poke for it. Otherwise," she flapped her wings, "I will go and get Officer Magnezone down here to settle it once and for all."
