"Alright, enough with the crap!" both of the brothers yelled simultaneously. They leaped over the counter, pulling silver spikes from their inventory chest and grabbed hold of Artemis, one brother pinning her against his chest and preventing flight while the other held the spike to her throat. "BACK UP! BACK THE F*CK UP, OR SHE GETS IT!" The crowd smoldered with raw fury for a moment... then one by one the assembled denizens of Seacrest began to back away slowly... many of them had claws and fangs at the ready though... if they weren't going to tear the bastards apart before, they definitely were going to now...

"Taking a hostage like this!" one of the mob members snarled. "Simple despicable!"

"Theives and kidnappers!" another shouted.

"Outlaws! Outlaws, you morons! those two obviously aren't part of the Kecleon clan!" Everyone turned to face the speaker. It wasa young alakazam, his eyes flaring with brilliance. he held up a wanted poster... revealing the faces of two Zororak.

"WHA!!!!???" everyone cried at once.

"Those two are none other than the notorious Zororak Brothers! Con men and thieves extraordinaire!" He levitated the poster in the air, passing it around for everyone to see using telekinesis. the crowd set it's attention back on the two.

"That means..." someone began.

"that we've been doing business for the past three and a half months with outlaws!"

"Indeed it has," The Alakazam said. then he looked over at rodric and Otto. "Rodrick, if you would be so kind!"

"Just like we planned!" he said, cracking all twenty of his fingers. he crouched down low and began charging towards the two with surprising speed, leaping right over the heads of the crowd members and preparing a focus punch while still in mid air, nailing the brother holding the spike as he landed. The Kecleon was sent flying into the wooden stand, shattering it into pieces and kicking up copious amounts of dust. A Zororak limped out of the wrekage, shouted a few slurred profanities at Rodrick, and then fell over unconscious. He turned to the remaining brother, crossing his arms in front of his chest as they took on a white glow.

"Let me have some of em too, Rodrick!" The Machamp looked up at something invisible. "OH, so you want to get into it now? alright, have at em."

"LET ME PUT YOU DOWN FOR A NAP!" a ghostly voice screamed in response. the air rippled as a Gengar materialized beside the remaining brother, grabbing him by the back of the neck and forcing him to look into his eyes as they glowed an eerie blue. A moment later he released his hold on Artemis and fell over backwards; snoring.

"THERE'LL BE NO PLEASANT DREAMS FOR YOUR ACTIONS!" The alakazam roared as his eyes both twinkled for a few seconds. he glanced over at the Gengar. "Cage!"

"With pleasure!" The gengar, his name apparently Cage, launched a shadow version of himself towards the sleeping brother, opening it's mouth wide and passing right over him before fading into the air. the Zororak noticeably began to struggle in his slumber. All was silent in the crowd, until the Alakazam spoke up once again.

"I'll go get Officer Magnezone and tell him we brought down the Zororak brothers once and for all." he said before teleporting away in a flash of white. the towns folk just looked at each other. the machamp and Gengar both kept their eyes peeled on the brothers, encase either came to. Rodrick glanced over at Artemis though.

"Sorry they did that to you, little lady," he said. "Being held as a hostage... how awful. But I can assure you that after this, they won't be hurting or wronging anyone else."

Skorupi didn't have to tell her twice; she smashed the Orb. Blue light enveloped the Espurr, teleporting her to safety, with the other two following through a golden light.

--- Outskirts of Crystal Caves

The trio materialized on the grass.

"Well, that went swimmingly," Pulse commented, evidently winded. Chimchar seemed pretty beat as well.

Sparks nervous rubbed the back of his neck as he had recently realized that he left his treasure bag behind at Tempest Castle as well, "Err, Vincent, Ace, Roy? Do you three have a Treasure bag on you?" He asked, trying to suppress his nervousness in any kind of way, hoping to avoid looking foolish for his own hindered oversight.

Sparks gave a hearty chuckle at the little Timburr's boastfulness, "You sure do like to praise yourself a lot, don't you?" He questioned, before glancing at Ace and Vincent, "What about you two?" He asked, hoping one of them was carrying it on them, since both himself and Draidon had left theirs at Castle Tempest.

"N-No, Rodrick, sir, you don't need to apologize at all! You saved my life, which I will be forever grateful for. And... I should be the one apologizing. I-I shouldn't have gotten in the way when I don't even know the whole story. Because of that, you and your team had more trouble to deal with..." Artemis replied despondently. Their teamwork and power awed her even while she had a Silver Spike held to her throat. The way the Alakazam, the Gengar and the Machamp dispatched the two Zoroarks with such ease made her skin crawl with excitement. However, she was also ashamed for being caught so easily. How could she have let her guard down just to play hero? She was, clearly, not up to stuff yet to boast such bravado.

This. Is. SEACREST!!!!

"Don't worry about it," Rodrick chimed, laughing. "Michael, the Alakazam who left a moment ago, predicted that someone from the crowd would probably try to act as the voice of reason and end up getting taken hostage for it. All the three of us had to do was gather the evidence we would need to rile up everyone to make sure that happened, then we set our plan in motion."

"And you wouldn't believe how many months it took us to finally catch them red handed," Cage added. The sleeping Zororak brother began to stir in his slumber; an act of rebellion which Cage promptly quelled by launching another hypnosis at him. "I Practically had to come out here everyday and look over their shoulders as they cheated everyone little by little! What they've done here will probably end up in them both being put away for a very long time..." The brother again started to struggle. Cage placed his shadowy foot atop his chest, pinning him to the ground.

"Speaking of which" he continued. There was a somewhat concerned look on his face as something crossed his mind. "Where... what do you think these two did with the real set of brothers?"

Rodrick again cracked his knuckles, glaring down at the sleeping brother under Cage's foot. "That's a good Question Actually, Why don't we wake him up and ask him?" Before either of them could act to begin the interrogation however, Alakazam, or Michael, as they called him, reappeared behind them with Officer Magnezone in tow, with his underlings following closely in turn.

"BZZZT! EXCELLENT WORK!" he called, giving the criminals on the ground a quick once over. The Magnemites under his command broke the single filed line as they followed behind him, surrounding the two. Magnezone turned to Michael. "YOU HAVE DONE A GREAT DEED THIS DAY, TRUST!"

The Magnemites had gotten both Zororaks up off the cobblestones had their arms restrained around their backs with magnetism; ready to be hauled off for due process. The Officer hovered over to his apprentices, forming the head of their little escort entourage. He paused before heading out, a Magnemite hovered forward and placed a bag filled with items on the ground before Team Trust.

"THAT IS THE REWARD," Magnezone explained. Two more Magnemites broke formation and placed two more bags infront of them; albeit these ones were jingling. "AND THIS IS THE BOUNTY; ALL 50,000 POKE!"

"Keep it." Michael said. there came forth a torrent of hoarse whispers from the crowd.

"What's he doing!?"

"This...refusing a bounty as high as that; This is madness!"

"Madness?" someone laughed. "Madness!? This. Is. Seacrest!!!!" Everyone stopped at that particular comment, turning to see the one who had made it. It was none other than Torrent himself. The young Piplup strode forward proudly as if he himself had took down the Criminals, stopping before Team Trust.

"You all obviously don't know Their policy!" He said, turning to face the gathered masses. "Team Trust don't accept rewards; they're completely self sufficient, relying only upon whatever supplies they happen to find in dungeons!" A chorus of Ooohs and Ahhhhs echoed forth from the impressed townsfolk.

"Erm...well yes, that is technically correct," Micheal said. He glanced over at Magnezone. "And before you go, officer, there is the matter of what to do with their property." Magnezone turned and looked at the various bags.

"THEY ARE YOURS TO DO WITH WHATEVER YOU SO PLEASE." With that said, he and his team headed out, ushering the brothers off down the road. Michael scratched his chin, pondering what to do; The three of them had no need of any of these supplies; they were indeed suffice in all their needs already. and technically, this did count as part of the reward... so even if they did need something, they wouldn't be able to take it. And then there was the fact of the financial loses of the Townsfolk to take into effect...

"You there, Swablu," he said suddenly, looking at Artemis. "Repeat that proposition you made to everyone just before you were taken hostage."

A small smiled appeared on Artemis' face as Rodrick and Cage reassured her that she was no trouble. Nevertheless, Artemis felt grateful for Team Trust and their amazing work. As Torrent proudly exclaimed that the team was also from Seacrest, Artemis even felt proud to be a part of this exploration castle, despite their harsh restrictions.

"You there, Swablu," Michael, the Alakazam said suddenly, looking at Artemis. "Repeat that proposition you made to everyone just before you were taken hostage."

"M-Me?" Artemis stammered, astonished that she was addressed by such a amazing Pokemon. "Um... I-I suggested that the townspeople can take whatever the supplies they need without needing to pay, or they can get their Poke back as well... It only seemed fair after what the con-men did d-during these past few months..."

"I've got it here," Ace said. "I keep it tucked into my feathers. Pretty secure there, unless I get knocked around. I'm too fast for that to happen, though," he said with the closest approximation of a smile that he could manage given the fact that he had no lips or teeth.

Vincent sighed in relief. "Good thing you have one, because I don't." He could punch himself in the freaking face. He wanted to reach Castle Tempest by crossing a Mt. Horn and he didn't even bring a Treasure Bag. What kind of freaking idiot does that even?

Sparks breathed a sigh of relief, "We can always count on you, huh Ace?" He questioned, glancing up at the Flying type, managing to return the smile as he began to gather up their recent purchase as best as he could; in order, for Ace to put it in the Treasure bag.

Just like the Espurr had planned earlier (and seeing that the team had no problems with the plan), they headed to Mystique City to regroup and gather supplies. And probably grab some lunch. Running through (sort of, if making it to the second floor with a Monster House counted...) a high-level dungeon was exhausting physically and mentally.Maybe Pulse'd even grab an additional scroll to study about the Crystal Cave before they jumped in again.

"If I recall correctly, the Kecleon Market is over this way," she muttered, heading in a certain direction, into the Pokemon Square, or the heart of the city, where most of the trade and livelihoods flourished. Despite its close proximity to the desert, Mystique City thrived with different sorts of Pokemon (though, yes, desert-dwellers were prevalent in the population). Pelipper flew in the sky with mail or packages in their beaks in spite of the constant hot sunshine.

Scorpio kept a close eye on every Pokémon in the city. He wasn’t very fond of crowds and felt uncomfortable, but everything was better than getting squashed by rock types. “So, what’s the plan?” he asked Pulse. “And where are we going anyway?”

"We grab some Reviver Seeds, Max Elixirs, Oran, Cheri, and Pecha Berries, Heal Seeds, maybe some other status effect causing seeds like Stun Seeds..." Pulse said, voice trailing off in a list of supplies they might need. "All of these can usually be found at the Kecleon Market. Although..." After a pause, her big eyes narrowing into a frown, Pulse continued, "I don't really... do well talking to people in Pokemon Square. They... sort of freak out when they see my eyes."

"Honestly I don't really like hanging out in the Square-- there's too many people here, and it annoys me when they treat me like I'm some kind of scary ghost or something," she added, shrugging.

Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. Lamina concentrated, feeling a gentle breeze stir the air. She'd stayed on this floor too long. But she wanted to gain as much experience as possible, and master as many skills as possible before she met her mentor at the end. Even with her eyes closed, the sound of a thump had betrayed a pokemon's location eight steps south, three steps west. The breeze brought the heat and scent of two others, two steps east, one step south. The grass-type focused more, squeezing as much power as she could. A single leaf appeared. Good enough. She whirled around, took a step back, and fired it at the closest enemy. [[Razor Leaf >> Jake]]

Merodi:

"T-town? Nope," the chimchar replied when the two pokemon she had been travelling with turned to her. "In case you dont know, where I come from, Im like the town outcast. Dont ask why." She casually cracked her knuckles.

The Chimchar finally responded, which surprised Pulse a bit when she'd heard the voice. "Oh," was all she managed to blurt out at first. She tousled the flop of fur on the top of her head. "Well, unfortunately, we'll have to- ugh- interact with the townsfolk," she said, rather reluctantly.

Taking the hit head on, he studdered back a bit and almost crashed into the wall, taking a good amount of damage from that attack.

He turned to Jory and spoke,

"D-D*mn... She caught us... Well, I guess she isn't friendly, eh?"

Turning to Lamina and slowly getting back up from the attack,

"And you," he popped his neck back and forth "are gonna pay for that one!"

He dashed forward a step entering a fierce battle stance, claws extended, awaiting the moves from Jory and that mudkip they were with, hoping their new enemy wouldn't strike any of them from a distance again.

SEACREST

"Alright then!" Michael said, raising his voice for all the crowd to hear. "You heard the young lady! what an excellent idea, couldn't have come up with something better myself. Everyone, line up in front of the stand, Single file, mind you, and We'll hand out equal portions of the theive's inventory and Poke! Any objections?"

"No..." several in the crowd murmured.

"Seems fair enough," Another one seconded. "it's rather hard to determine who spent what anyone..." Then the masses all began to form lines before the stand, as Michael had ordered... surprisingly, it was far more orderly than one might expect. Before anyone could step up, however, Michael's eyes blazed with a teal light and a bag hovered up from the ground, stuffing itself with various supplies and some Poke before levitating over and falling at Artemis's feet.

"Of course, you get to go first," he said. "After all, you did suggest this." If she looked in the bag, she'd find 5 oran berrie(s), 1 revive herb(s), and 500 Poke.

Lamina tried once more to extract power for a razor leaf, but to no avail, it was completely exhausted. Suppressing a sigh, she lunged forward with a leaf blade. Just before the grass snake pokemon could stab the absol, she noticed a blue circular mark with a leaf inside on the absol's wonder badge. That's Verdance Castle's mark. Did we get a new recruit in the past two hours, or is this guy faking it? Lamina took a step back, lowering her stance but still wary. "Who are you?! And why do you have Verdance's badge?" she snarled. "We dont appreciate impostors very much, you know."

Merodi groaned inwardly, but didnt object. They needed items badly, and town was the only place to go to get them. Though there weren't many pokemon at that time of day, the odd trio turned heads as they strolled towards Kecleon Shop. Am I acting too human like? The question bounced around Merodi's head. She took a deep breath, and said "I'd like five reviver seeds, five max elixirs, ten oran berries, five cheri berries, five pecha berries, five heal seeds, and five stun seeds." Merodi had no clue what any of the items were, or the effect they had except for oran berries, so she simply repeated every item Pulse mentioned.

"Im terribly sorry, but here at Kecleon Shop, we dont carry seeds. They are terribly hard to obtain, considering the fact that we cannot farm them. As for the items we have in stock, in order to prevent the tragedy of running out of stock of any particular item, we only stock three of each item per day." The kecleon paused to let his brother place the items on the counter.

"Three oran berries would be 150p, three max elixirs would be 150p, three pecha berries would be 300p, and three cheri berries would be 300p, which makes your grand total to be.. 900 poke," the purple kecleon replied.

"BUT! For today and only today, we are offering any purchase below 1500 total poke for free, to be used only once," piped the green kecleon.

"Which means any subsequent visits will be charged. To mark the fact that you've already taken advantage of this amazing offer today, we do ask you to wear this sticker until the end of the day." The purple kecleon handed the items and three stickers over the counter.

Pulse wailed in despair after hearing about the absence of Revival Seeds.

In the middle of pulling out a little purse from the Treasure Bag strapped to her little body, Pulse stopped when she heard what the Kecleon Brothers said. "Oh. Well then. Thank you, Misters Kecleon," she said, bowing in thanks, and distributing the stickers and items to her teammates. One item of each, it seems... and it looked like they'd have to go into the dungeon without a reviver seed. "Ah, I forgot about the Escape Orb," she muttered.

"Woah!" Artemis exclaimed as she looked inside Michael's gift. Despite their usefulness, however, she closed up the bag once more, keeping the bag at a respectable distance from her. "Michael, Um... Are you sure this is okay? These supplies are meant for the citizens who were victims of those crooks. I am not one of them. It would be rude of me to take what doesn't belong to me."

As his new enemy flew toward him with tremendous speed, he led on her with a hidden attack, a sucker punch, when she suddenly stopped to inspect him and jumped back for a moment and spoke.

Jake slowly discharged his attack and lay his paw on the ground with an intense stare, feeling he'd just made a goof. He began to scan the room for the fastest escape...

"Quick to talk, huh?... I thought you were just gonna beat me up and all, and now look at this..."

There was a short pause

"I'll come clean, this wonder badge? I barely use it. I'm a traveler you see... Not really a rouge, these 2 aren't under my leadership. Now this "Verdance" badge? You don't mean to tell me that big castle were I was trying to get a bed and some dinner was "verdance", right? I took this badge really as a symbol of my travels, I didn't know that castle was... The... Verdance castle miss... Now you're probably gonna kill me, and you're probably mad..."

He set up in a sprint stance...

"... But I'm not gonna let you lay a finger on me!"

He grabbed Jory, and called after the mudkip they were with, a sprinted down a split in the brush, sincerely hoping Lamina wouldn't catch up. He needed some time to recover, and maybe even escape.

"I..." Scratching her head irritably, Pulse cut herself off. "Never mind, let's just get going." She didn't feel like going back to the Kecleon to ask if he had an Escape Orb... anyway, she still had that Rollcall Orb if ever they'd need it, but they wouldn't have a quick way out.

SEACREST

"But of course," Michael said to the young Swablu. he turned to the crowd. "Afterall, I'm sure no one has any objections, given that this young lady tried to serve as a voice of reason and helped us to catch the brothers... am I wrong?"

"No, no...no issue here." someone in the crowd said nervously.

"Hell, you should give her more..." another chimed.

"I don't see why she doesn't deserve a little something for her efforts," a third confirmed. "And it's not like there's a very limited amount of supplies and cash to spread around..."

"There you have it then, Artemis," The Alakazam turned his attention back to the cotton bird. "No one here has any objections, so go on... I'm sure your team members are waiting for you. You'll find the Oshawott over there, and the Zangoose is right behind you." It was unknown as to how he could've known any of this, especially her name... but then again, when one has an IQ of over 5,000... one tends to know things one has no logical way of finding out.

If Artemis looked behind her, she'd see that Michael was indeed right, standing there was Macmillan.

"Guess we won't be needing this after-all then," he said, stowing it back in his bag. "Not that it would've done anything anyway... apparently wonder orbs only work in dungeons or something... Anyways, what did he give us, Artemis?"

MY HOMEDAWGS AT TEMPEST

Whilst the party was stowing away their purchased goods and the Kecleon brothers were returning their inventory to the chest beneath the counter, a certain individual was sneaking nearby, watching them all as they made their plans...

"Well, lets get to the castle if we're ready," Draidon said as Ace scooped the goods into his bag. "And you'll find that having hands really isn't all it's made out to be..." Just as he finished speaking, a streaking sound filled the air, followed by a considerable amount of heat. Blazing right towards the group was a wheel of bright fire, rolling towards them at an incredible speed... and it was heading right for the shop.

"You two, get dow-" Draidon couldn't even finish his warning to the brothers, The Flame got there first and knocked both of them off their feet. The fiery construct died down a little, revealing the face of an Arcanine.

"Well, thank you kindly for these," she said as she swiped the entire plate of fresh donuts, platter and all. "We'll be eating well tonight, that's for certain!" with that done, the Fires roared up around her body once again and she resumed her Flame Wheel attack, using it to get away from the quartet. she seemed to be heading for Mt. Horn...

"Catch her, Draidon!" one of the brothers yelled at the dragon.

"Yes, you all, you're a rescue team," the other brother added. "so help us out and stop that damn thief!" Draidon only nodded at them, turning to the others.

"You heard em," he said, taking off after the Fire growing smaller and smaller in the distance. "Let's catch her!" He seemed to be keeping good pace, using his powerful legs and arms to propel himself from rock to large rock along the path as he pursued her as they rolled their way up the long and harsh trail heading towards Mt.Horn in the south. but the others would have to hurry if they didn't want to lose the two.
