He landed true and sure, this jolteon. With one great leap, the gap that separated him from his one last objective fell away into the void of insignificance as his feet danced across the air, flying... flying. and there he was, next to the platter, donuts fully intact and all accounted for. The only thing left to do now... was make that same, beautiful flying leap again. But would the young rescue worker be able to possibly accomplish such a feat without spilling the precious goods?

Only time would tell... time and courage.

'Alright, I did it once, hopefully lightning can strike twice, but how?' was all that ran through his mind as he glanced across the gap, before carefully lifting the platter onto his back, making sure not to drop any of the donuts, "If only Draidon wasn't busy looting that Arcanine..." He murmured under his breath.

"Arceus, how long does it take, Magneeto!?" Draidon called from down the corridor as he walked in, carrying with him two TMs he'd found stashed in the tiger's mane... only to stop his ranting short when he finally noticed the massive gap leading deep into darkness in the floor. "Oh... I guess that's what's holding you up." He brought his tail around and placed the disks on two of the spines jutting out, freeing up his hands before turning back to the Electric type.

"Toss em..." He said, palms open and ready to catch...

But little did this Jolteon know that while true, he'd gotten his wish, the vibrations from the dragon's shouting had caused the ledge to begin to crumble bit by bit.. destroying the stability that had allowed it to so staunchly survive his leap. perhaps it would have been better to just chuck the donuts over to the other side one by one... but hey...

What he didn't know wouldn't kill him. Cripple him, from a fall at this height, sure, maybe... but kill? no, no no no... either way, he didn't have very long...

he had better get chucking.

Sparks took a deep breath as the ledge was crumbling away from Draidon's shouting, "I hope what you have planned works, Draidon." He claimed as he proceeded to toss the plate of donuts towards the daunting Dragon type, 'Hopefully this does workout for both of us...' ran through his mind, while the ledge continued to lose it's former stability.

Draidon caught the plate in his hands expertly, making sure not to drop a single one of the pastries, going so far as to count and ensure they were all there. There came a sharp cracking sound though... and then a crashing of sorts.

"Da hell?" He asked, looking up from his count and finding... that Sparks and the ledge were no longer there. "Awwww....shit." He cursed silently to himself, placing the platter on the ground before running over to the edge of the gap, peering down into darkness... and seeing no sign of the electric type anywhere.

"Draidon?" Vince asked as he entered the room, finding his leader looking into the abyss. "Hey, what's going on? I managed to patch up Roy and Ace as best I could..."

"Look, kid," Draidon said, turning away and pointing to the donuts. "don't ask questions, just take those back down the mountains and return em to the Kecleon Brothers..." He turned back to the hole, bringing up claws and dragging them across his shoulders, preparing for a long, long climb... "I'm going after Magneeto, this pitfall is deeper than any I've ever seen, spans multiple floors at the very least... and if it goes down to the very first one..." He cringed just the slightest as he thought about how Magneeto would likely go splat in a giant mess from the impact force... if each dungeon's level was at the very least over 10 feet in height, and that's for a small one... and they were on the 12th level... Wait, when did I start caring about him? He asked himself, standing precariously at the edge. He's just another freaking electric type... what had he ever done for me?

"Maybe the question you should be asking is what he hasn't done to you."

"Who said that!?" The dragon turned around suddenly, his motion flinging the two TMs on his tail spines into the darkness, disappearing in glints of light as the fell out of sight.

"said what..?" vince said, finishing up the task of collecting the donuts onto his small back, giving the Drake a perplexed look. "What, you hear something?"

"So you mean you didn't say anything just now?"

"No. All I did was hear you yell."

"..."

"Draidon?"

"Take the donuts to the brothers, and take those two unconscious nit wits with you..." And then with that, Draidon unleashed his sharpened claws, and leaned backwards until he plummeted into the pit...sparks kicking up here and there as he grabbed certain sections of wall, slowly controlling his descent...

"Hey kid" The Jolteon heard as he gradually began to regain consciousness. He could spot a massive hole in the rock cavern overhead. what seemed to be Torch light glowed from off to his left, illuminating a sizable living space of sorts in a round chamber, walls carved with various scenes and various pokemon. The sound of trickling water came from behind him, slow and monotnous... and he realized he was being held by someone.

"Kid, wake up! don't you die on me..." A Charizard's face looking down at him. That was the next thing to greet him when his eyes opened fully....

He grunted a bit as he proceeded to open his eyes, seeing the Charizard after he opened them fully, "Well, that was not the wisest course of action.." He murmured, before adding, "May i ask who you are?" He questioned towards the fire dragon that was holding him.

"Name's not important," The Fire Type insisted, dropping Sparks to the floor after ascertaining he was alive. "What is, is that you more or less just plummeted right into our hideout, son. How are you gonna remedy this?" He began stepping a bit closer, wings unfurling...

"Hey, don't kill him," A gruff voice said from behind him. not far away Sparks could spot a battle-scarred tyranitar sitting on a large bale of hay, back turned to the two of them, a map unrolled and gripped in one of his claws. "You kill em, and we got another strike added onto the bounty, got me? And we don't want another strike on there... god knows shit's already hard enough."

"Oh please," The fire dragon scoffed. "You kiddin me, ya pansy? I could kill this little runt with a single bite, and my flamethrower could melt Officer Magnezone's sorry self like it was nothing."

"It's not Officer Magnezone we should be worrying about..."

"Who then?"

"Michael."

Everything went quiet at that. The Charizard still towering over top the electric type, though his attention fixed on the rock type in the back of the chamber, the latter going back to reviewing the map.

"You're a dark type, moron, the hell do you care?"

"You forget our last spat with them... He knows moonblast. one hit for me, and it's GG, RIP...."

Again, silence... then the fire type turned back to face sparks. "Anyways... who are ya kid, get talking before I decide to disregard his advice and eat you."

Sparks took a deep breath as he glanced up at the Charizard, "My name is Sparks and that's all I'll bbe willing to go through." He claimed, trying his best to hide any form of intimidation that came to him, "So, you say that I plummeted in here, correct?" He responded as he ran a paw through his white neck fur.

"Yeah, from the big-ass hole that magically opened in my ceiling." The charizard pointed up rather irkedly at the abyss yawning above, not noticing the series of spark trials coming from above as he fixed his gaze on the boy, grabbing him by the neck fur and hoisting him up to face level. "You know how hard it was to find this place, kid? I had to scour the base of this damn mountain for weeks, digg it out to be big enough to hold the two of us-"

"And the decor," the Tyranitar interjected quickly, holding up a single clawed finger as he continued reading the map. "The decor was a b*tch to get in here..."

"Yeah," Charizard agreed, looking the boy hard in the eyes. "And the decor was a b*tch to get in here."

"Then I bet it'll be even worse to get the blood stains out of when I'm done with you." A voice called, seeming to echo through the whole room... a voice that was very familiar to Sparks. "You can either put em down, or I can take your arm, it's your choice."

"I'll put him down once you reveal your pansy self and stop hiding in the dark like your name is frickin Darkrai."

"Have it your way!" Draidon said, letting out an unintelligible, draconic roar as he released his grip in the last few feet of the pit's wall, falling into the round chamber head first, claws glowing teal as he brought them about in an X-like manner, aiming for the Fire Dragon's eyes... only for the Fire-type to let a roar equally as fierce and unintelligible- his shaking the entire space- as he reached up quick as lightning and met both Draidon's claws with one teal glowing hand, holding him there in mid air as the Dragon type struggled against the force of his target's retaliation...

Without a single word, Charizard gave another roar, bringing up a wing and practically Bitch-slapping Draidon with it, sending him flying against the rock wall hard and sliding down, arse pointed to sky, rather indignant as he lay sprawled on the floor...

"D-damn..." He managed, barely able to recover... "what...what the hell are you?"

"Kid, you best start talking a bit more," The charizard said, returning his sights to Sparks. "Cuase I'ma bout to flame broil and make burgers out of both of you like you're Milktanks, got me? You feeling lucky, kiddo? Well, are ya?" He leaned in close to the electric types ear... "Are ya?"

Meanwhile, all the Tyranitar did was sigh and cast a glance over at Draidon... shaking his head.

"Is that a challenge, you overgrown excuse for a dragon?" Sparks questioned after seeing Draidon get sent into the cavern wall, "Because I don't take kindly to a friend getting knocked into a wall without a fight!" He hollered as he charged up a Thunderbolt, before channeling it into the fire/flying type.

"No." charizard said simply, barely even acknowledging the thunderbolt from a foe so weak in comparison to his own level. "That was me being merciful and giving you one last chance to save your life and the life of your friend here. But now..." He opened his maw, a roar issuing forth as a sphere of pure hot flames congealed in the back of his throat, their heat enough to begin singing some of Magneeto's fur as the winged lizard drew him closer and closer to his mouth, preparing to bite down...

"Enough," the same gruff voice from before sighed. The tyranitar got up from his map and hay bale and turned to Charizard, eyes glowing a silvery white as tiny spheres of energy began to rotate around his body... and form into jagged edge stones. "You need to cool off, damn it!" With that said he unleashed the attack, grazing his partner over and over again with the razor sharp rocks, sending him stumbling back and releasing Sparks as a result before tripping over his own tail. The floor shook as the giant went down, KO'd like it was nothing.

"Idiot forgot he had a quad-weakness to my best move..." The dark type sighed, looking at Jolteon on the ground. "Look kid, I don't care where you came from or who you are, but I just saved your sorry butt from becoming dragon chow, so here's what I want in return- you're going to take your buddy here, and get the hell out of my house. Understood? And you're going to act as if none of this here ever happened- you never saw us, understood? Either nod or shake."

Sparks simply nodded at the Tyranitar as he slowly made his way to where Draidon laid, "Draidon, are you alright?" He asked, hoping he was alright from the impact that he had suffered. He carefully lifted the Dragon type as best as he could, turning back towards the Tyranitar, "I do apologize for my intrusion." He responded, before dragging Draidon out of the cavern.

Draidon only grumbled a few unitelligible, anti-fire dragon slurs as the electric type carried him out. Aside from that, it seemed he was barely conscious enough to do much more than stumble about with Sparks as a support.

The Tempest members found themselves at the base of the mountain when they emerged into the sunlight of the outside world, the forest of Mt. Tempest stretching out before them like a see of brown and green. In the distance lay the distant outlines of town, though... it looked like it would be quite a walk before Sparks reached there, and given he had a less-than-steady dragon who weighed several times his weight with him...

Well, it's like they say. A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.

Sparks took a deep breath as he continued to carry/drag Draidon along as they had found their way to the base of Mt. Horn, "This is going to take a while.." He murmured to himself, 'Hopefully, he'll regain consciousness during this..' ran through his mind as he continued to carry the stumbling dragon through the forest towards town.

  • 2 weeks later...

Sparks

The sun dragged as the two trekked through the dense underbrush, as ungraceful as Donphan in the field, their constant stumbling and twig snappin' causing a ruckus that could've woken up every ghost type for a mile around. Draidon, though he'd been blessed again with the gift on consciousness, gave no words as the duo walked endlessly through the woods, skirting the base of the mountains. All he did was walk, one step in front of the other, rinse, wash, and repeat. They feel into a monotonous motion, the Dragon and the Fox. Set a pace till the sun hung high in the cloudless sky, till the skies darkened with clouds and the heavens grew heavy with their sorrow, though for what, no mortal besides a Xatu could know...

It started soft at first, peltin' off a leaf here, a blade of grass there. Then it hardened, came down quicker, quicker, till they found themselves in a downpour. Mist hung heavy in the air, and in the blink of an eye, the town disappeared in the distance beyond the white shroud. The ground grew loose and murky as pools doth formed from the deluge sent from the lord Arceus above, each step threatening to display one of the travelers in the thick, earthen mess...

Draidon's foot did just that, slipping on a particularly slick patch, goin' down to a knee, taking Sparks on down with him, what with his larger stature and weight to the Electric Fennec. And the Dragon made no attempt to get up, to keep moving. He just knelt there, eyes dim as he stared into the dirt...

And sparks could hear the labored breath and see the blood streaking down his chin and chest for the first time now, mouth coated in the stuff, hard as it was to see given his face...

Draidon

"Why'd I jump?" He'd thought to himself as they kept trucking on through the morning. "Why... why'd I do something so stupid for him? what the hell made me go and try to save him when I should've just turned right around and started climbing back up the pit...? And... why the hell did he save me... took me with him when that damn firebreather went down? Why didn't he just leave me- I'm just slowin' him down anyway, a piece of dead weight... it'll be night by the time we get to town like this..."

All morning, he hadn't gotten a single answer for any of those questions. The only thing he'd gotten was the searing pain everywhere from his spat with the other wyrm... that fire in his lungs, that sting everytime he breathed, that metallic in his throat... that throbbing in his legs and tail, that numbness in his already useless wings... and that slow, awful beating in his chest, wanting to go in a steady rhythm one minute, and then break it off and go crazy like a crowd during a bull charge the next. How much blood had he been spitting out as they went? He couldn't even keep track... couldn't even spit it, to be honest, just had let it all well up and leak out over his tongue.

Then the rain had started, ground started sloshing up around their feet as Sparks half assisted- half carried him. "Screw it..." He finally thought as both of them went down on a slick patch, Draidon just barely managing to get his leg up to keep em from going out fully. "I'm dead... or close enough to it, after all that back there..." The mud began to settle again as he stared into the mossen earth, drop upon drop of the deluge falling on the grass and mixing with the crimson slowly washing off his person. "But was I wrong, Riley? Was I wrong about them all bein' bad, after they hurt you like that...? All this time... have I been wrong?"

In the distance, a few electrical flashes could be seen faintly... though they weren't from the storm...

Nearby...

"Haha, see brother?" A young pikachu cried in joy as yet another of her small electric blasts nailed the tree before her, the smell of burnt ozone and oak hanging heavily in the air, smoke wafting up and joining the rain swept tendrils of mist overhead. "See? I can use sky fire now, just like you, Robby!"

"Yeah, you can," the Raichu standing not far away smiled. Someday soon, I'm gonna have to tell her it's called thunder, not sky fire... ah well though, that's not important right now. "I'm glad to see you're all better though, Thames," He said. "You had me a bit scared for a while there... but the bad man who hurt you will be even more scared when I'm done with him..."

Thames stopped her rejoicing in the rain at the mention of the Dragon who'd attacked their home early this morning. She turned to Robby, head cocked to the side and brow furrowed. "But Robby..."

"What is it?" Robby asked, eyebrows furrowed himself now at seeing the sudden change.

"I..." She turned her back to him, gazing up at the tree. The memory of those fiery, heavy set orange eyes peering at her coming back... "I... don't think the dragon was really a bad person. I think he was just hurting deep down inside, that he was sad... when he hit me with his blue claw, he didn't look like he was having fun...I don't think he was hurting people just because he could hurt people- he's not bad, not like the guys you used to read me stories about at bedtime, Robby..."

"Thames... what the hell are you talking about?" Robby demanded. "Not bad! Not Bad!? He almost killed you! How is he not bad!?"

"Because... you're not bad, big brother..." The child said simply. "And... his eyes had the same thing in them that yours do... his eyes looked just like... just like yours always do."

Silence. He just stood there, looking at his kid of a sister, shaking his head. "Arceus... the kid's too sweet for her own good...But I'm not gonna let crap like this go, I can't... when some lunatic breaks into your home and hurts your family, your don't just let them go. No... you kill them as sure as the sun rises... someday..." It was then however, that the sound of sloshing mud came from nearby. Robbi walked over to the shrubs, peaking over the folliage and finding...

"Speak of the damn devil..." He said, lowering himself back down and looking at Thames. "Hey Thames, stay here, alright? I'll be right back, promise."

"Uhm... okay, brother..." She said as he scurried away under the bushes...

Sparks and Draidon

"HEY!!" Sparks heard a voice call out in the distance. A few more flashes, stronger than those before, eminated from the fog as the sound of mud sloshing grew closer and closer... twin circles of gold greeted the Fox as he looked up. Before long the owner of the shout broke the mist, teeth bared as he glared at Driadon's defeated and bloodied form on the ground.

"Well, what does this make it, the third time today I've seen you?" Robby asked. "Three times, it must be some type of sign from Arceus himself, a sign that you really do need to fall by my hands, that is!" He huddled down, beginning to build an electric charge in his cheeks, the blaze of light intensifying as the air grew heavy with static... he glared back and forth between Sparks and the Dragon. "Oh, and don't worry, I'll be sure to take care of whoever your little friend here is too when I'm done with you!"

((And no, sparks, I'm not forcing you into another boss fight here or anything... cause he's actually a hellavua lot worse than the arcanine was...))

Sparks slowly got up to a vertical base to face the opposing Electric type, "You can clearly see that he is in no condition to fight..." He claimed as he stood before his kneeling teammate, glancing back at Draidon, before shifting his gaze back to the Raichu, standing his ground in front of Draidon, "You want him? You're going to have to go through me to get to him!" He hollered as he began building electricity through his fur.

"Oh, so you wanna go out first!" Robby said, turning his attention to the challenge, tail beginning to take on a harsh, metallic Glow as he glared at the fox. "Fine, I'll be more than happy to take you apart!" With that said, he made a step towards Sparks... and then simply vanished in a blur of motion, mud and grass being thrown up and out to the side as the heaven's continued to weep...

Draidon

"He's doing it again... why... Here I am, half dead, and he's still trying to save me, to be a hero..." His ruminations were cut short when he saw the metallic flash angling for Sparks neck, the orange and brown of the assailant's fur, the blaze of his cheeks. Closer and closer... the kid's head would be rolling pretty soon... "No... I'm already gone...I'M ALREADY GONE!"

* * * * * * *

A thick, Draconic roar was all Sparks heard as Robby appeared before him, whipping his body around and swinging his tail like a guillotine, aiming right for the jugular. The attack drew closer and closer, the heavens peeling with thunder as the face of his would-be killer glowered at him, eyes like smoldering black coals fresh from the pits of hell. Time seemed to slow, the rain's beat grew dreary, long, each drop dragging out for what seemed to be an eternity. The Air tingled and burned as the length of hardened tail edged closer to his throat, like he was being choked, suffocated by the very prospect of death itself...and then it all picked up again. and before he knew it, a force was slamming into him, and he was being hurtled like a ragdoll, spiraling through the air and plopping down in the wet grass a few feet away.

Draidon stood where the fox once had, arms up, hand blazing oh so blindingly blue and fierce he'd ever seen as he grasped the steel tail like a sword master, holding it strong and steady in place despite his injuries... Robby simply stared at the spectacle, jaw agape as he tried to free his tail, rain still pelting hard off of both of them. The more and more Robby struggled, the stronger and stronger the glorified star that was Driadon's fist glowed. Then without warning, the drake reached up with his other hand... and the Raichu found himself smacking face first into the rough bark of a nearby tree, force so great a BOOM emanated out all around as he slid to the soaked earth. And Draidon was down to a single knee again, glaring at the attacker as he slowly got up...

"You said you wanted me, right..." He snarled, eyes gleaming a deep, fiery hue as flecks of blood sprang forth like pigeons in a ceremony and made land full all across the Electric Type's face. The Dragon's entire chest and neck was covered in the rich, ominous scarlet as he glanced over at Sparks. "Then fine, take me, I'll fight you, to the death, here and now...my life's already forfeit... you can get whatever revenge you want, but only on one condition..." He pointed to the boy, eyes flaring as he returned his gaze to Robby. "He goes free. You don't pursue him after he leaves here, you got me!? The kid goes FREE!"

Robby took a step back, surprised by the ferocity... then the glare from before came back. "Hell no," He spat, whipping Draidon's blood off his face, fur stained a dark scarlet. "I don't get you, dragon... you were hauling off with a bunch of slurs when you came for us at dawn... and now here you are trying to save a member of the very type you were so hateful for just hours ago... you want mercy for him, but I didn't see you showing any mercy when you struck down my sister!! You want me to spar your friend here, but you didn't seem to have any problem trying to kill Thames! How the hell does that work!? How!? Why should I give you wretches anything!?" The air again began to crackle with lightning. A bolt from the blue erupted near by, toppling a tree into the clearing like a top heavy giant of ancient lore, struck dead by the Lord's judgement, mud and earth flying up as everything shook and the thunder peeled.

And Robby was more than capable of creating another fierce one like it...

"A little sister...all of this... Riley, what have I done? All I wanted, was to make them pay, make them all for what they did to you... and in the end I just became the same type of monster they were..." Draidon's glare softened, a brief memory flashing before his mind.. "Is this what it's all about then?" He asked. "Is this all just because you're a brother looking out for his sister...? Is this because you're only doing what's needed to avenge the people you loved? To strike out at the monster who took them from you?" He rose to his feet shakily, arms by his side...shaking his head in shame "What was her name?"

"Thames..." Robby answered, honestly vexed by what the hell was going on now... "And the right question is what IS her name...thankfully she pulled through with some help, but still...she came damn close to the abyss thanks to you... too close..."

...

...

...

Silence. The rain kept falling. the peels of thunder stopped. The heavens kept up their incessant weeping. Draidon's eyes stayed fixed to the earth... "How much have I changed, since then, before they came and stole your life? I used to not like fighting, used to value peace, but now... I used to use words, now it's all claws and fangs... Riley... how far have I fallen, little one? Can i ever climb back? The things I've let myself do, all for a vendetta... how many people did I hurt who didn't deserve it? I called myself a rouge, but I was just a thug... after you went, that's all I was afterwards..."

"Sparks..." He said, using the boy's name for the first time, not looking back at him. "Leave, now. Run away, just go... Go to town, get the others, go up and report to the castle..." He reached for something on his person.. and tossed it to the Electric type...It was the Team Leader Badge. "You're in charge now. Tell them Draidon ran away if they ask about me, tell em he's never coming back... cause I'm not. I'm not coming back to anyone...It's time I answer for everything..."

He turned his attention to Robby yet again, eyes still gleaming in the rainfall. "You're gonna let him go." He said simply. "Because I'm forfeiting my life. I'm the one who almost killed your sister, I'm the one who attacked your home and brow beat your friends like ragdolls, snarling hate left and right... but he's innocent here. You kill me, and it's vengeance, but you dare kill him, and it's murder."

Robby looked at him a bit longer, brows furrowed. "Alright... now I'm really fucking confused, but... fine, damn it..." He looked over to Sparks. "You're safe, I guess... get out of here."

"Go..." Draidon seconded, not daring to take his eyes off his soon-to-be-executioner. "Don't worry about me, as jacked up as I am, I was gonna keel over before we reached town anyway... even if I walk away with you, I'm sentenced to death either way here... so I might as well make it so that that death can count for something... to make up for who I've been and what I've done these past few years..."

Sparks caught the badge as Draidon had thrown it to him, while tears were welling in his eyes, before giving the Dragon one final nod, "Goodbye, my friend..." He responded as he proceeded to run towards town, leaving both Draidon and the Raichu behind as tears ran down his face, 'Your sacrifice will not be forgotten, Draidon...' was al that ran through his mind as he refused to look back at whatever carnage had ensued after he left the two alone with one another.

Sparks

The mist lifted little by little as he ran through the thinning woodlands, feet coated in mud, white mane slick with the Heaven's sorrow. The badge in his grasp felt as if it was pure lead, each step harder to take with it than the last had been. Crimson stained his fur, though he noticed it naught. But noticed or not, there was only one man's blood who it could've possibly been staining that emblem of the Tempest, that old crest.

Town was close in the distance. Not much longer now, not much longer... Something caught his though. Just for the breifest of seconds, like someone standing off to the side of the path as he passed like a bullet, staring at him as he went. It seemed like the world again slowed down, in that instance. The drops again elongating and dragging on forever and ever. The beat growing slow and drowsy. He barely had enough time to glance over and make eye contact with the being. But he could see the sadness in them. And he could see the angelic features of the child, a few years younger than him, tiny wings on her back, whole body a snow white, a red and blue triangular ring pattern dancing across her belly...

And then in the blink of an eye, time picked up yet again...

And she was gone. Gone like the wind. What was she, this innocent looking child? Lost? A specter? An illusion and a lie? It mattered not... for Town, despite it's humble nature, was still there, just up the next few slopes. She, on the other hand, obviously was not.

The Execution

"Go on then..." Draidon said as he heard the boy leave. "I'm already more than half dead... so just go on and end this already." He got down to the soggy earth on both knees, gaze fixed with the avenger's. "Do it...go on, DO IT! I've lost what I once lived for, lost it long ago... and in trying to get it back, all I did was cause the same exact type of pain I once suffered...I was the survivor, but I went and wasted the gift of life that she could've used so much better had she'd been allowed to keep it instead... and now it's slipping away."

Robby stood there for a while, arms crossed pensively as he stared at his voluntary prisoner. Then moments turned into minutes... then "No." He said.

"Look, damn it!" Draidon said. "It's not a game, either do what ya want now or else my own body'll beat ya to it and I'll still be a cooling corpse in the mud...with or without your involvement in it."

"No..." Robby repeated simply. Then turning his attention to the shrubbery nearby. "Thames! come out, I know you're watching this!" Slowly the girl popped her head up from the hiding place, eyes pleading with her brother to stay his hand... though Robby keep his own gaze fixed on the dying dragon.

"I don't kill in front of little kiddies..." Robby said simply. "And even besides, you've got me vexed with everything you keep spouting on about- how are you 'a survivor'? Who is 'she'? And whats with the sudden heel face turn right before you're about to bite the dust?" He turned his attention back to the bushes. "And Thames, get over here!"

"So in exchange of vengeance, you want a story...?" the dragon asked as he watched the pikachu stop at her brother's side, eyes filled with something he hadn't expected to see... not fear, not anger, not hate... but something of entirely different spectrum altogether.

"Yeah... a story..." Robby replied. "I want to know why the hell you go acting like a damn maniac one minute, and like some fallen hero the next. so go on, get talking. Here, I'll even keep you alive for the duration- Thames, use wish on em." The girl seemed hopeful, nodding and shutting her eyes tightly. Though none of the three saw it, a single streak of white blazed across the sky...

"If you want to die so badly, then you tell me your story first... and then I'll be more than happy to finally oblige." the look of hope sunk from Thames face like a stone.

"..." Draidon simply shook his head, sighing. "Fine... I'll tell you. You'll get your little story... IT was five, six years ago. Believe it or not, I used to be a lore collector; used to be better skilled with my words than my claws..."

Sparks shook his head to dissipate any stray thoughts that came to him, getting to town was his main goal and he had to complete it as he continued to make his way towards town, hoping he could find the others to tell them that Draidon had ran away like he said, 'Hopefully this works..' He murmured under his breath, clenching the badge tightly in his paw.

//YAAAAYYY UPDATES//

Mystique: (Imma just bring us to the last floor since we're seriously behind. +2 levels to all party members)

Merodi dragged her feet up yet another set of stairs. She felt like she'd been in this dungeon forever, or at least for ten flights of stairs. The chimchar was tired, hungry, and not feeling the best. After trudging through a couple more rooms, the duo chanced upon... one pecha berry, two clear gummis, and one more set of stairs. And (unfortunately) a sleeping seviper who seemed to be guarding the set of stairs.

Verdance: (Same story as above)

"Middle path guys, let's not waste our newly regained energy," Alina replied. True to the absol's predictions, it was a relatively straight path with nothing but a little poké and the stairs!

~ (8 floors later, everyone should be at level 8 I think?)

Nothing much exciting happened as the team made it up to the last floor of the dungeon. Other than occasionally spotting glimpses of the servine, at least.

// I swear, my cold is NOT helping me be creative//

(Grass. Know that ily for this. <3 shit wait I forgot what level Pulse was on)

"H-Hey, we're almost through. And it's just one Poison type; I've got this," Pulse said, both warily and wearily as though the big snake were a trivial nuisance like having to receive Pelipper Mail or answering a salespokemon at the door. "I think I might have an Apple left in my bag; go take it." With that, the feline channeled her deepest reserves of mental energy, thinking something along the lines of ohArceusjustpleaseletitbedonesowecangetoutofhere hurled a rather frustrated Psybeam at the stupid sleeping snake in the way.

"Alright guys. We're getting closer. I can feel it. Let's move up and out! Now this floor seems a little weird. All of a sudden, there's water everywhere... I think there's gonna be some tight spots... Let's move."

He went straight into the only path out of the room with his guard up knowing anything could happen at this point. Half expecting a vespiqueen to come darting across the water.

((So captain's out sick I guess... so prepare for your updates, peasants!))

Seacrest

Torrent only raised an eyebrow, arms crossed as he paused in the doorway. "....Nope, not ringing a bell, weirdo."

"Tch, doesn't matter anyway." Bubble scoffed, still laughing a bit at how ridiculous it all was. "You asked for this..." Without another word, the Wartortle took the deepest breath he could, moisture from the air around them all gathering like moths to a flame as a small sphere of blow congealed before his gaping mouth. He swallowed it like dinner and then exhaled with all his might, blasting a powerful jet of water towards Otto the Human...

((And yes, it's water gun, not hydro pump. I'm just being dramatic here XD))

Mystique

"Hmmm...? Whassss that?" The Seviper yawned, fangs blood red and blaringly visible as oxygen struggled like plankton to escape his impressive maw. He only noticed Pulse and Merodi once he'd managed to knock off the grogginess of sleep from his eyes... "Oh hey, who are you guysss? haven't sssseen you around here before- Gah!" The multicolored beam blinded his ominous pupils and the taste of dirt and dust filled his mouth as the sprawled to the floor a few feet away, clearing the path to the stairs for the rather rude Espurr and her accomplice...

"Eh, what the hell wasss that for! A guy'sss jusst laying around, napping, and you go and attack him!? What'ssss wrong with you, girl!?"

Verdance

Lo and Behold, Jack really should've watched what he wished for. Right from 4o'clock, there came the buzzing of wings and a bout of angry yelling... though he honestly could make out nothing from it.

What he could make out though, and very clearly, was the teal, shining sawblades of solidified air (Air Slash) exploding against the pathway and the splashing in the water all around him as he continued his reckless charge... and more heading right for him.

Sparks

No music for you! only complimentary rain sounds for realism!

"Hey, what's that yellow thingee in the distance?" Roy asked, putting up a hand to sheild his eyes from the parcipitation as Vincent knocked again and again on the door of the Kecleon abode, donuts now soggy and disgusting, falling apart at the touch thanks to the weeping of the heavens. Seemed the brothers had decided to lock themselves in for the duration of the storm, as had many others around town... The Rains making it look kinda wierd... and OH MY ARCEUS, LOOK AT MY DONUTS! NOOOOO!!!!"

"It's Sparks, you dingus..." Ace sighed, feathers soaked through to the bone as his keen eyes easily picked up the form through the mist and the fog. "And you shouldn't get so upset- it's not like you were going to be the one eating them anyway..." With that he turned his attention back to the Jolteon, holding a soggy wing in greeting. "Hey, over here! Where's the lizard?"

((Do forgive me if there's anything off in any of these, I'm winging the hell out of it right now to be honest...))

A faint smile formed upon the electric fox's muzzle as he spotted the trio in front of the sop as he made his way over to them, before the smile faded away at the mention of Draidon to an expression of depression, "H-he ran away....and he's not coming b-back" Sparks answered as he tried to fight his emotions back as he held the badge in one paw, "This is all he had left to give me..." He added as he held the team leader badge out to them.
