"Tauros shit." Ace said simply. "Pure and utter tauros shit- there's no way that dragon would just run away; in the beginning he was going on and on about how he was gonna kill us all after the fight with Roy, and then he practically freaking jumped down a damn pit to save you from what Vincent says..."

"Yeah, I don't really buy that either..." Vincnet sighed, finally giving up on the door and tossing the platter to the steps. He tried, he really did- if the kecleon brothers got nothing but a pile of mush now, it wasn't his problem... they should've opened the damn door. "Considering... well, how he acted, that really makes no sense for him to just... run away. I mean, this guy jumped into a pit after you, really, not pulling your leg; I saw it for myself... people who jump into pits usually aren't the ones to just run away..."

"Yeah," Roy added, rather late to the discussion as he mourned his precious pastries... "Besides, if he leaves, how would he be able to kill me someday?"

"Look, I'll explain everything once we get up to the castle and report to King Silver, alright?" He questioned as he shared quick glances with all three of them, taking a deep breath as he proceeded to make his way towards Tempest Castle with the others in tow, 'Looks like they didn't buy what he told me to say...' ran through his mind on their trek, while the rain continued to downpour from the heavens.

Otto got blasted right in the head, getting knocked over as a result of the blow. When he got back up, he looked only somewhat irked, but mostly unimpressed at what Bubble had done to him.

"Really? That's how you treat a fellow Castle-member?"

((OOC: Otto's face looks like a soggier version of Phoenix Wright's face from the incident where he gets a toupee thrown at him by Frank Sahwit, if you've ever seen that part of the "The First Turnabout" trial from PW:AA))

With her paws still up in front of her, Pulse stared at the irritated Seviper. "Sorry, mister, but if we thought you would try to kill us like everything else has been in this dungeon, so far. We'd only just like to pass and finally--" she stressed the word heavily, tired-- "be done with this."

Zephyr

"Hmmm... Kill you?" The seviper hissed non-threateningly. He began slithering towards the two, genuinely vexed. "Girl, what are you talking about? I've lived in this neighbor hood for years and years now and everyone's just as nice as they can be- why would anyone be trying to kill youuuuuuuuu-" The sound of a trap suddenly springing drew out the last sylabelle into what became a womanly scream of terror as the poison type fell right through the floor in a burst of dust and stone. The metal teeth of the Pit Fall trap extended once more as their latest victim fell to his doom far below... leaving the two explorers with only their own company before the staircase.

Seacrest

"Mother of arceus, He's a...a...a Human!" Torrent screeched in horror, breaking for the door as if he'd seen a ghost. The wooden slab slammed shut behind him, letting of a resounding Bang! throughout the chamber. Even Bubble seemed to lack a witty remark, face pale as the facade of a glacier as he stared there, glaring at Otto the Human. Though he said nothing as he backed away slowly, opening the door and letting himself through, leaving the hall behind with the same resounding bang Torrent's exit had made...but not before opening it ever so slightly, speaking through the gap.

"I'll be watching you...human." The turtle snarled with disgust. Then yet another slam. And he was gone.

((Sparks, I'm going to update you next post since... you kinda have to climb a freaking mountain again and that crap tends to take a bit of time and what not.))

Otto turned to Artemis, tilting his head as he spoke.

"What's up with those guys, other than being completely shocked from seeing a Human for the first time?"

The little cloud bird had situated herself on the ground to watch the spectacle as poor human Otto got drenched with a Water Gun. Before she could come up with a smart response of her own, she saw the two water Pokemon retreated in fear, which brought her some glee. "I have no clue, Otto, but it sure feels good to see those two idiots bolting out like the skitties they are." Artemis replied, chuckling to herself. "Now that we finally have some peace, should we proceed to find some quests?"

((Annnnnnd no response from Absol still. oh well, not like this is a very big post...anyways, I'm gonna try out a new formatting style, so bare with me))

Team Tempest

Leader: Sparks, the Lightning Fennec-ian!

Location: Final Floor of Mt. Tempest

The mountain was eerily silent as the four surviving members made their last trek up it's treacherous bowels and into the snow cloaked heavens above. Not a single foe dare reared their ugly mug, not after the double dosage of smack down they had all been so generously given the first two times. And there was not a speck of coin nor an item to be found either. Truly, it was a journey as uneventful and tearfully boring as any could be.

Until they reached the summit, that is...

"Hey...who is that?" Vincent asked as he sauntered up to Sparks, panting. The fresh snow fall crunched and crumbled beneath his tiny paws as he struggled to keep pace, the daunting task of having to climb an entire mountain not once but twice in a single day clearly getting to the boy. "Is she like... a gate guard... or something? Whew! I gotta... gotta sit down for a while..."

"actually, yeah..." Roy picked up, just now noticing the silhouette himself. "Oh, wait, I know!" His brow suddenly furrowed and his eyes narrowed as he mashed his fists together though, saying in a cliche voice over that only someone born of the human world could've even known. "She is an enemy to be defeated!"' and without another word, the fighting type charged forward and raising his piece of lumber high above his head.

"OH arceus damn it..." Ace cursed as he rubbed a temple with his wing. "you know what? no, screw it, I'm just done...he's not worth the migraine I'm starting to get...I honestly hope she just freaking kills him, no, really... I do at this point."

In the distance Roy was charging faster and faster towards the stranger though, leaping into the air once he got close enough and shouting like some maniac.

"Round One, FIIIIIIIGH-" It was silenced by the sudden sound of a body being slammed into a snow bank and a Timburr groaning in agony...

Flare

"Insolent worm!" Flare said as she glowered down at the easily defeated boy before her. Her eyes still burned with residual power from the Psychic Attack. "You dare try to assault me!? With such pathetic stratagems and such absolutely, positively amateurish calling of your attacks!?" Her eyes were already beginning to flare again even despite Roy clearly being down for the count already...

Perhaps Sparks should... do something before the fool got himself murdered.

((And sparky, force=/= the answer here. just gonna tell ya that now so that I don't have to file all the paper work in order to kill ya))

Mystique

Leader: Pulse, The Disturbing Kitten...

Location: Mystique City

The desert city was as alive and bustling as ever when Pulse and her water type companion finally arrived home. Traders hurried to and fro in the town bazaar, yelling out unbelievable deals and exorbitant prices that would've made a poor man smile but a king weep as he reached for his wallet. Skarmories fight in deep pits dug into the sand as numerous patrons stand gathered around the edges of the holes, throwing down coin and occasionally the stray salty word or insult as the clash of steel and warcry rings through the air. The various oasis of the urban settlement are packed with numerous pokemon lounging on the shores of the glorious ponds and lapping at such a rare bounty. The customary music of the local desert culture hung heavy in the air from several street bands sitting cross legged on elaborate carpets laid out in the sand, plucking their long instruments with graceful fingers and blowing their reeds with all their bountiful might, producing notes finer than silk.

Official theme of Mystique Castle, making it official here and now

The towers of the Castle loomed high in the distance. It seemed all they had to do was make it a bit further...and sweet, sweet rest could finally be theirs after a hard day's work.

Or perhaps Pulse would ditch her friend and go see the city for a bit? who knew... no one can truly know the mind of an Espur, it seems. Nor would anyone likely want to know.

((yes, those are legit fighting/ gladiator pits I described... and no, they are not to the death. But the winner keeps the majority of the cash that gets thrown in to the pit))

Seacrest

Team Leader: Artemis, A Dragon In The Making

Location: Seacrest Castle, Front Foyer

"Good question..." Mac said, scratching his chin thoughtfully. Something which was impressive given the fact he could've easily slit his own throat in the process... "Maybe go visit the dojo? It can't hurt to try to get stronger, afterall, if this thing about the castles possibly merging forces is true and all..."

Sparks caught his breath as he gazed towards where Roy had fallen from the silhouette before the quartet and/or trio, considering that the Timburr had been slammed into the snow, "I'll try and bail him out this time.." He suggested as he made his way towards them, "E-excuse me, but I think we can settle this without having to resort to violent measures." He chimed with a slight stutter of nervousness in his tone, "Maybe this would clear things up?" He added questioningly as he held the team leader badge that Draidon had given him towards her, hoping he could try and reason with her to spare Roy for his ignorant outburst and attempted attack.

(Oops sorry honestly hadn't noticed the update)

"I just HAD! To run my friggin mouth didn't I!"

After a couple slashes and fierce attacks, the vespiqueen was beaten down.

"Iced that sucker, let's keep going."

As the group continued onward down the corridor until they found a set of stairs.

"Nice! Let's go onward! Quick! I know we're getting close here..."

Team Tempest

Leader: Sparks, The Lightning Fennec-ian!

Location: The Snow Fields of Mt. Tempest (Mt. Tempest Summit)

All around them, the snow fall seemed to intensify the moment Sparks held up the emblem, winds howling and the drifts piling higher and the temperature dropping even further than it already was. It's once lovely golden face was still stained with the blood of the deserter, and with it, still stained with memories of a lost man.

Flare turned her attention from Roy just long enough to spot the emblem in Sparks hands. Her eyes released their violet glow, though they still held that hard, icy glare as she looked the fox up and down, then the rest of his entourage. She seemed to have completely forgotten about literally blowing Roy away in a hail of Telekinetic force.

"How was it that you acquired that?" she demanded. Roy showed no signs of consciousness nearby in the meanwhile... and the snow was beginning to pile. "Speak! You were never assigned a Leadership Role, boy, I know you were not; I handed out those badges myself! Where did you get it!?"

Team Verdance

Leader: Jack, The Big Boss!

Location: Outskirts of Verdance City

The Journey out of the dungeon had been an easy one for the Absol and his entourage after the last few floors. Soon they had trekked their way back through the wilds towards home. The Forest seemed to grow thicker and thicker as they traversed the terrain, cresting wooded hill after wooded hill until at long last they reached the mountains... and the lush valley beyond. It was night, tiny fires and various other lights could be seen in the distance as Volbeats acting as sentries flew through the air in brilliant displays. The air was fresh here, fresher than one would think possible... and as usual, the city seemed to be quiet as they drew nearer and nearer. The homes were carved into and built atop the ancient wood of the trees themselves, windows and doorways peeking out here and there, structures suspended in their branches, connected by bridges of rope and wood and in some areas even chains. Some sat on high, lofty perches for those who had proven their worth to be close to the heavens. Some low to the earth, hanging just above the grassy floor. The trunks were truly massive, able to accomodate several such structures and not give the slightest groan of stress from it.

Yes, truly, it was a place of sacred majesty, a place of serene existance, the city of Verdance. And the denizens seemed to know this full well- the city was quiet, quiet like it always was. Swellows and various other avians flew through the air, back and forth from one building to the next, some carrying satchels and bundles, some carrying notes; all of them silent as wraths as they went about their business. In some huts people sat behind various counters, a variety of chests and wares on display across the walls. Though it was night, the bridges, vast as they were, were still sufficiently bright for one to find one's way; the crystals jutting out of various trunks at odd angles ensured that with every ray of their surreal light...

Jack and his men stood on a high cliff, just in front of a vast bridge leading to the high rises of their homeland. Unbeknownst to them though, eyes were watching them. all around, from every tree, from every shadow- eyes that burned gold in the night air... but these eyes made no move to stop the group. For their owners knew these folk would bring no harm to the city. They knew they would not have to carry out their oaths in this case. And so one by one, they simply watched...

Their journey home was almost over. They needed only get to the highest points of the tree top city and the castle gates...

Sparks took a calming breath as he glanced up at the Volcarona, trying to suppress his own emotions, 'Let's hope the story works here..' He thoughts, "I acquired this badge from a fallen comrade by the name of Draidon. He is no longer with us as you can visibly see." He answered, "The badge is even stained with his own blood, if you want some form of evidence to his departure." He added, keeping his gaze fixated on the Fire/Bug type, hoping his story would be sufficient for her, unlike it was with the others, but he promised to explain himself to them once they got inside.

How tempting it was to go and look around, discover the wonders of Mystique City, perhaps learn a thing or three. It almost overrode how exhausted she was from the journey through the dungeon and the trek back home. "Mystique Castle is that way... though I could go for some water in this heat," Pulse said, to nobody in particular.

Water was a necessity. She wouldn't be able to receive her next orders, if any, if she were dehydrated. "I'm going to the watering holes for a drink; if you'd like to go on ahead, that's fine." The Chimchar probably thrived in the heat of the sandy deserts anyhow. An Espurr, on the other hand, was in no way built for heat, not with all her fur. With that reasoning in mind, Pulse made her way to sweet, sweet water first.
