Notus
Hey Reborn! Welcome to the Symphony thread, the place for musicians of our community to show and share their art! So, the idea behind this is pretty simple: If you play an instrument, sing or do anything related to music and want to show it out, simply record, upload and post it here. In addition, this may be used for cooperative works between the members, so if you want vocals to that great song you play, or perhaps think that a piano would complement your guitar in another one, here is the place to ask for it! Here are some useful links: - Audacity (Sound recorder & editor)[Download] : http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ -Audacity Quick Guide: http://manual.audaci...quick_help.html -Lame (MP3 Converter for Audacity): http://lame.buanzo.org/#lamewindl -Musescore (Create, share and play sheet music): http://musescore.com/ Now that's it, let's make some music! Arkhi
So, Dan wanted me to post this, but I think he got it from Rose and now I'm posting it. Because to hell with logic.
Bluewolf
YES FINALLY THERE IS A THREAD LIKE THIS WHERE I CAN BE USEFULL!!

Now we only need a clarinet to play this one. XD Also, I forgot one thing we'll need: MP3 online hosts. I never used one, so you guys have any suggestions? Arkhi
That sheet posted is for this, I believe. At least, looking at the the B.C. part.
Notus
Yup, that's a classic! Should it be our first project? I'm still in the process of finding a good mic for the guitar, or a way to plug it straight in the pc, so it may take a while.
Arkhi
I think it'd be very difficult. Without drums or brass, this will be a challenge. But I'll poke around for sheet music. And what with do you perform, Bluewolf?
Zephyrus the Priestess
Me.. actually.. play violin? *insert sad laughter here* Kidding aside, while I DO know how to play, I highly doubt my skills would be on par with anyone else's up here. We'll see lol, maybe when I gain a confidence boost in playing.
Rosesong
I'm the clarinetist right here! Actually, I was arranging something fun awhile ago...
Zephyrus the Priestess
On this note I'm admittedly more of a singer, but that's... kind of common so.. *shrinks back into violin case*
Arkhi
Ah, don't do that. The more the merrier. If vocal's up your alley, then to there we travel. At some point, I would like to try the Lake Themes from D/P/P. It'd be tricky, but eventually we should try. Still searching for a first song. That being said, if anyone has something good to suggest, offer up. This is probably a democracy. To include vocals, we should also consider songs that have nothing to do with the Pokemon franchise
Rosesong
or the TV themes, which I have an in progress arrangement for season 1's theme We could always do more!
Arkhi
What theme would that be? Currently, I've only got one song I think we should try as a pilot. Edit: Notus, your second spelling of Symphony in the first post is incorrect.

I love that track so much it's saved on my phone. also democracy is really just a "that's what they want you to think" ideal, really. Or at least that's what it is here or the TV themes, which I have an in progress arrangement for season 1's theme We could always do more! PokeRap? MuseScore is also a program that allows you to arrange your own music; I use it on a regular basis for writing music
Arkhi
I've used it a bit to compose, but more for finding others' compositions and playing from there.

I myself ain't very good at all, but the idea here is to play for fun anyway. If you prefer to do vocals, it would be great too! Thanks Pocky! ...I double as a saxophonist, but why would I do that? ... for the lolz? XD Aand after struggling to find a good way of recording - and failing on that for now - I decided to upload something to get this started: Stairway to Heaven. It's a nice song that everybody knows and has room for a lot of instruments, so i thought it would be good for a start. The song is a little different from the original, as I used to play it alone and sing along, and also because I'm not that good XD. The record is bad (had to use my pc mic), but it should be good enough for preleminary works and I can substitute it once I find a good mic. http://www.mediafire.com/listen/jqlo88l61s811a6/Stairway_To_Heaven_1.mp3
Arkhi
Sax has the same fingerings(?) as the flute. I've tried playing it, buuuuut it's tricky.
