Guest Mafia
Nature Fights Back Virizion @ Leftovers / Life Orb Trait: Justified EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Focus Blast - Giga Drain - Calm Mind - Hidden Power [Ice] A standard Virizion set that I see all the time on some of teams in the Smogon server. Its main purpose is to counter weather inducers and smash them.Life orb is your feeling Damage greedy and leftovers for the conservative bunch. The set is strict on the moves as this gives great coverage.
Guest
[dance moar fools] [Virizion] (M/F) @ [Leftovers/Life Orb] Trait: [Justified] EVs: [4 SDef/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe] [Jolly] Nature - Swords Dance - Leaf Blade - Stone Edge - Close Combat [Well there's dual STAB on this set so not much to complain about here, being Leaf Blade and CC. +2 STAB for both, 120 Power with CC and whatever for Leaf Blade. Guarentees sweeps in all areas. Dragon types come along, show them the rocks and take em out with Stone Edge. With Hydregions use Close Combat cause that's a guarenteed OHKO in my books. Make sure you dance though, otherwise forget sweeping. Lefties to keep sweep going or LO to max damage but eventually let it die.]
Lord Emvee
Work it up! Virizion @ Life Orb Trait: Justified EVs: 104 Atk / 152 SAtk / 252 Spd Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def) - Work Up - Close Combat - Giga Drain - Hidden Power [Ice] Very underrated set, but rather effective if used well. Unlike the fixed sets, Virizion's physical set won't be scared away by Skarm/Gliscor, and its Special set won't be scared away by Chansey/Blissey, etc. This set takes the idea of boosting both stats into creating a mixed version of Virizion, so that you won't need to switch out for common walls. Work Up boosts both the Attack and the Special Attack by one stage. Close Combat is for Special Walls that otherwise stop Virizion short, as well as Steel Types. Giga Drain is for STAB and to recover Life Orb damage. Hidden Power [Ice] helps take down threats such Dragonite, Gliscor, and Salamence. Overall, this set is sure to catch your opponents by surprise.
Shanco
The taunting deer Virizion @ Leftovers / Light Clay Trait: Justified EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Reflect - Taunt - Sacred Sword - Stone Edge A set thrown together, but it's worked. Close Combat and Stone Edge better cover the field than Virizion's STABs. Reflect gives Virizion defensive capabilities and allows it to possibly survive a Flying-type attack. Taunt works with Virizion's nice speed to eliminate status boosts as well as Will-O-Wisp (only Sableye can outspeed it with Will-O-Wisp thanks to Prankster) and send Pokemon like Gyarados, Hippowdon, Deoxys-D, and Prankster users packing.
