  1. 04-02-2025 Dev Blog Don't worry, there was no Rick Roll this year for April Fools. Instead we had a hostile takeover of power, and sheer chaos. Fun times! We've got a few things to tease for this post, some new items, and contest winners for an Aevian event that was on-going in the Discord! Starting with some silly story snippets. Make the right choice, you know what has to be done. You'll stumble upon this peculiar Umbreon a few times throughout the events of Overseer. What could it mean? I guess you'll just have to wait and see. She is in fact, still armed. The grudge between these two expands back far further than it would seem. Your options will determine what happens next. Make the right choice... or don't! New Crests! I feel these crests are deeply sought after by the community in general. Especially with some other evolutions receiving the same treatment, so, without further ado. Vaporeon Crest "Gains Fire-type STAB. Normal-type moves become Fire-type. Heals 1/16th of its HP each turn." Jolteon Crest "Gains Water-type STAB. Normal-type moves become Water-type. Attack scales with Special Attack." Flareon Crest "Gains Electric-type STAB. Normal-type moves become Electric-type. Speed boosted by 40%." These crests will be exclusive to the Pinnacle, and can be obtained through a lore-relevant sidequest! Event Winners / New Aevian Form In our public Discord server, we put out an announcement last week for a new community event! That event was filling in a sketch for one of our new Aevian Forms. Whoever had the closest color-palate to the original would win. Now, to be quite honest, no one was that close. There were a lot of submissions for some crazy color combos, and some other unique looking designs. The winners were based on who had the closest color to one of the genders/the closest shade of color. Do also keep in mind that this design has never been shown outside of the developer server. The winners for the Male form are: Minbo & Seren (Both had close aspects to the original, so we decided both would win) The winners for the Female form are: Ronin And finally, the Aevian forms Aevian Buizel / Floatzel Design & Art by Moonpaw Normal, Ghost/Normal Type Buizel: Aevian Buizel descend from Buizel who were born without a flotation sac. After being shunned and driven away, it uses wisps as a suitable replacement for its missing collar. Floatzel: It has collected enough wisps to mimic the flotation sacs that its Sinnohan brethren have. They are very proud of their collection, and will often preserve their wisps at all costs. Additionally, have some undocumented information, provided by the Research Division No further information can be provided at this time. And that's all for this post. We'll be back soon with more updates on development as we continue! Congratulations to the winners of the event, and please reach out to an Overseer for your reward Overseer Files Discord

  2. I am currently on a testing phase for a 19.5 version. we comb through the game and look for errors and evaluate difficulty of trainer battles. There is still a lot to do though, and since minor reborn updates come out sporadically there is always an uncertainty that it might crash something. 19.5 also has a small event for terapagos, but the currently released version its a Gift Pokemon that just sits around in the Ogerpon Cave (atop Ametrine Mountain), but I am unsure when it's obtainable in terms of postgame progression currently.

  3. Fixed another Google Drive link issue where it wasn't updating. When Steffi hosted the link, it would keep the same URL with every reupload, but it seems like that hasn't been the case since the link was remade, so the Google Drive link in the first post was out of date. It should be up to date now. Sorry for the growing pains with Google Drive, this is my first time hosting the Spork link.

  4. Reuploaded Spork with a new region map made by Enigma! A few years ago I showed an earlier version of a new region map Enigma was working on, however it was put on hold due to alignment issues with the map cursor and the areas on the map. This past week Enigma started from scratch and made a completely new one! One detail you might notice if you go over the map in-game is that the Pokemon League is called the Starlight Citadel. This is what the revamped Pokemon League is going to be called! It will take a while to get there, but Enigma's already put a lot of planning into the endgame maps! Thanks to Enigma for the new region map, I really like how it turned out and the lines showing connections between distant areas like a treasure map is a neat detail!

  5. Pokemon Oblivion is a fangame that I have been working on, entirely solo, for about a year. It is loosely a Rebornian-style game, as it features field effects, but there are many new mechanical changes to many areas of Pokemon. There is a new "gimmick mechanic" in this game, similar to z-moves or dynamax, which is the Role system. More info about it in the video linked below. There is currently no released demo. I will be releasing video dev blogs on YouTube, the first of which is linked below. Join the Pokemon Oblivion discord server for updates: https://discord.gg/smC3yMS6re

  7. Another bug-fixing reupload for the new maps: -there was an automatic event to give the player Waterfall in Clearwater Cascade for those who beat Angela on the old map and hadn't progressed any further before the revamps. This could cause a crash for unknown reasons, so the automatic obtainability has been changed to an item ball in the overworld -Enigma updated the blue path in Veyle (the green around the corners wasn't supposed to be there) -one of the upper left houses in Veyle is no longer being clipped through by the tree near it -changed the music in Veyle to normal pitch. It was pitched down for the original track Veyle was going to use, but we changed the track while the revamps were still in progress, and I forgot to change the pitch back to normal afterwards -fixed Alexander's beverage not changing to a coffee cup in the Thirsty Mudsdale after the story events with him, Barker, and the player Thanks to Enigma for the vigilance with finding errors on the new maps, and Vince&Sylveon for doing a video playthrough so quickly after the revamps! Thanks to those two, issues on the new maps are always found and resolved fast

  8. Fixed an issue with the Google Drive link where it required you to request access in order to download. Google Drive lets you upload up to 20 versions of a file, and the latest reupload got to the max, so the link needed to be remade. I didn't know it was now requiring permission to view until I got an email notification a little while ago from someone requesting access. Thankfully, Steffi was able to provide a URL that doesn't need approval to access. Apologies for the inconvenience

  9. Reuploaded Spork with some updates and fixes on the new maps Updates: -For Angela's Aviary, Butterfree previously showed the invisible pathways again when you went down a floor and came back up. Now it also does so if you go up and come back down, as well as for ones you've cleared before if you fall down from more than one floor -For the 2v2 Angela Gym battle, replaced Ice Beam on Emily's Frosmoth with Blizzard so that it can take advantage of Blizzard's accuracy boost in the snow -updated Dialga's dialogue at the Temple of Time's main office to mention the portal quick travel (previously, it still had the old dialogue saying there wasn't much to do there, which is no longer true) -Waterfall is now like Cut, Surf, Strength, and Dive where you can use the move as long as you have the HM in your inventory without needing to teach it to a Pokemon Fixes: -can no longer bypass Crolea by walking above or below her into the Serafew - Marvelous Marsh gatehouse. Walking above or below Crolea will now activate the conversation with her just as speaking to her would -added Leafeon Sign autoheal to the underwater Marvelous Marsh map and the one with the portal to the Temple of Time main office -added debug-enabling tree to Serafew's Pokemon Center -can no longer walk off the top of the tree trunk in Marvelous Marsh where Bloodmoon Ursaluna appears

  10. Reuploaded Spork: Updates: -added a new batch of map revamps made by Enigma! Serafew , Marvelous Marsh, The Mudslinger Pavilion , Crimson Path, Cloud Spire , Veyle , Angela's Aviary, Clearwater Cascade , and Temple of Time -the Teal Mask DLC Pokemon are now obtainable through regular gameplay outside of starters -added non-virtual postgame battles for Stryker, Clifford, Belinda, Belladonna, Ryoko, and Anthony -at the Tourist Info Center conversation, if you choose to be from Sinnoh there's now dialogue mentioning Angela, and if you choose to be from Kalos there's now dialogue mentioning DJ Ultra Beats -there's now extra dialogue with Angela at the Gym battle if the player is from Johto or Sinnoh, and an extra line about Lunala if the player is from Alola -Stryker now has a few lines of dialogue in the Tapu Koko quest -changed Pink Bow item to Fairy Feather -added Power Herb to the herb shop -added the move Poltergeist, which is in the Inoset Island Pokemon Center move tutor's selection -added Fairy Feather to Fezandipiti starter item gifts -changed Snubbull's starter item gift to Pixie Plate -added expanded choice menu to Temple of Time battle replays -Hex Maniacs' Pokemon are now sent out in Dusk Balls -credits file is now up to date (was missing various map tiles for Steffi, and the screen border and battle UI for Enigma) -if you speak to Rania at her Training Gym after becoming Champion but before the Battle Frontier is ready to open, the dialogue now acknowledges this instead of still saying to come back if you become Champion Fixes: -corrected typo with Portal Agent Paige at Team Portal HQ: "You could get it at 3, or you coud get it at 300" -> You could get it at 3, or you could get it at 300 -the legendarysidequests notepad file's info on Jirachi is now up to date -the starteritemgifts notepad file is no longer missing Poltchageist, Okidogi, Munkidori, Fezandipiti, and Ogerpon -Arnalda, Kayla, and Meda no longer appear in Technicolor Forest before you're able to do the Terrakion quest (they appeared after becoming Champion, when the quest becomes available after the Battle Frontier opens, so they were just standing there unable to be interacted with) -removed white space from Mega Sceptile's front sprites -an NPC in the Ocean Coast Pokemon Center is no longer invisible Before updating, make sure you're not in the old Marvelous Marsh or Angela's Aviary maps. As mentioned in a few past posts, Serafew is a completely new town, which Mulder's Gym has been moved to! After some story events in Serafew and Marvelous Marsh, you'll be able to go to the Mudslinger Pavilion, the stadium where Mulder puts on wrestling shows. If you've been here for a few years, you may remember Crimson Path. It was originally a small clearing just before the old Raila Jungle, where Belinda and Belladonna's house was, and you could get Kartana from a Cut tree. Crimson Path is now a bigger area to the north of Serafew. Like before, it has Belinda and Belladonna's house, now an optional place to visit where you can battle them in the postgame. The Battle Frontier is no longer visited in the main story. It's behind a gate in Crimson Path and opens in the postgame. From the northwest end of Crimson Path, you'll meet up with Natalie, and the two of you along with Draga will travel through the Cloud Spire to another new town, Veyle, which is where Angela's Aviary is. Veyle is snowy with a Japanese-inspired aesthetic, and it also has a matcha shop with a new sidequest! There's one more new map after Angela, Clearwater Cascade. From here, you'll descend into Quasar Bay, which is where it's back to the old maps. You now get Waterfall from Draga after the Gym battle with Angela, which will allow you to travel through the waterfalls in Clearwater Cascade. The Temple of Time functions the same with the battle replays, but it got a glow-up as well. From the main office (located at Marvelous Marsh and reached through diving) you can access any of the parts you've previously unlocked from Gym battles, and the tiles around the warps match the tiles of the Gyms they're connected to! For the ones in maps not yet revamped, like the Lightning Lounge, those will be added to the new main office in the future, and I kept the warps to the original Temple of Time map in those cases in the meantime. Enigma also did most of the new story content in Serafew and Veyle as well! I added Draga to the Cloud Spire events and updated the dialogue at Angela's Aviary, but all of the other story events (along with the Gotcha Matcha! sidequest) were created by Enigma! Many thanks to Enigma for continuing to knock it out of the park with the map revamps! There's not many left before the entire region's been done!

  11. DISCLAIMER: This mod is only a proof of concept. A while ago, I had the idea of splitting Reborn's Debug Menus to make them more moddable and allow modders to add their own options in the same Debug Menu, like the newer versions of Pokémon Essentials. This is that idea made manifest into reality. Modular Debug Mode is a proof-of-concept Reborn 19.5 mod and an attempt at decentralizing the Debug Menus in a similar fashion to Essentials v21.1, allowing for certain degrees of moddability for Debug Mode and possible co-existence of separate Debug Menu options from several mods. You can take a look at the mod below by downloading it. Not compatible with mods that modify pbDebugMenu and/or pbPokemonDebug. NOTE: A Reborn Evolved account is required to download the mod. 12. Continue the mainstory line. You'll get the HM later don't worry. I guess it's just to prevent the player having a strong water type move against Geara (it has no water resistance in its team).

  17. Yes, for the most part, but you have to kill Karen, Karrina (both requiring full completion of the Hidden Library quests), both savable rifts, leave amber behind (instead of rescuing them), and get Florin killed by making him use his power repeatedly in Darklight, I may have forgotten other necessary ones, but if I remember right, killing Florin and karina gives 40, karen and the rifts 30, leaving amber behind 10, and delibrately failing the decision in the alternate future, then retrying from the game over screen and succeeding will give the last 10 points. (I probably am forgetting something or having the point totals wrong, here, I think it should actually total 100 RP) There is a guide somewhere, just in case you need it, and you may wanna double check it to confirm my information. You only need 100 renegade points to go renegade, and I did what you are seeking, so yes, for the most part. Hope this helps!

  19. Personal opinion of a person with hundreds of JRPGs behind him, while i do like the theme it doesn't sound anything like a battle theme. The only battle theme it would fit is a Suikoden 2 situation where you are forced into a bitter fight with your best friend and no one wants it, which is very much not the case here, otherwise it sounds like a cutscene OST where someone dies or explains tragic backstory or something equally sad. I also don't think it particularly fits for the "end of the journey" dungeon as well since it generally needs to build anticipation and excitement for the final confrontation, not make you depressed. Personal advice, consider what state character are in in this point of time, what kind of emotions OST want to convey, what kind of feeling for this point you need to create for the player, also researching chord sequences that trigger certain emotional responses is a nice way to improve the OST too. Also just play a lot of games with great OSTs, hearing them and understanding why it works when you experience the moment really helps too.

  23. Hello, gentle denizens of the much-ravaged internet. The age is long and dark, and little end is in sight. Nothing I have to say can change that for you. But I do have a small update to a video game which can maybe help keep the ennui at bay. Will you accept that? no, no new gens sorry not sorry Today's update is a long time coming, having been forged by our hard at work new team under the capable management of enu, plus some not insignificant help from generous benefactors and patricians of talent within the community. Much love to you all. The focus of this update is primarily on quality of life improvements; it is not a content update. Legacy 19.0 downloads are available on the download page for those seeking to play with older mods. But if modding is your thing, please consider checking out enu's new suite of mod tools, available here: https://github.com/enumag/eevee/releases And if you are experienced with modding or game dev and the idea of helping out sounds good to you, please consider checking out the community cooperation initiative and maybe applying! Anyway, have some changelog. It is not complete, because no list of words can ever equate to the monumental amounts of work the team has put in. But it does have some neat Tidbits. And finally, some parting notes on updating, including a list of places that you probably don't want to update. And by "you probably don't want to update" I mean "we definitely don't want you to update there" and "if you do that and break your game and then complain to us, we will throw metaphorical tomatoes at you". Okay. Downloads are on the download page. We'll have more for you in the future. Not more story content... The game's done. But we're still cooking, and fam we got some Chefs up in here. Much love, have fun... stay safe out there. You dressed warm, right? Did you bring a snack? Okay. Just checking... Until next time.

  29. Welcome to my art thread!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I usually post my reborn fanart in the mega fanart thread but finally decided to make my own. Mainly because I'm building this huge alternate universe in my head based on my headcanon for the protagonists. They're practically OCs at this point haha. I want to make comics based on my headcanons, ships, and personal redesigns of the characters. I hope you enjoy your stay here! If you like what I have, consider dropping a comment or like, I always appreciate seeing those All Art Posts: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- HERE ARE MY INTERPRETATIONS OF THE PROTAGONISTS! I wanted to do a small redesign of all their outfits to better define their silhouette and styles. I tried to keep the characters similar to their original sprite art while putting my own twist on it. I think the characters with the biggest changes are Lucia and Ari. I love those two, but there's just something missing in their original design. I'll make proper full-body refs of them all someday. Here's some more info about who they are! I wrote out unique backstories and personalities for each of them that I can't wait to flesh out in more art pieces. I love them all, but my favorites are Alice, Kuro, and Decibel. Those three live rent-free in my head. They're one big group of friends! As such, you can imagine they have some pretty interesting dynamics going on in the group. My favorite pair in this group are probably Kuro and Decibel. They argue a lot because their ideologies often conflict with each other.

  34. A couple of days ago, @TA31 made a post discussing which starter picks are the best in Reborn, and quite a few people chimed in with suggestions as well, and there were many different options for which choices would make the top cut. A lot of good points were brought up, but you can make a case for/against most of the starters, and the nature of forum replies meant that no conclusion was really reached. So I thought that, instead of just replying to that thread, I would clean things up a bit, and explain myself a little bit more extensively, and rank all of the starters for a playthrough of Pokémon Reborn. I have personally used most of them in a playthrough at one point or another, so I have a bit of experience with how well they all perform. Beforehand, I wanted to clarify the criteria of the ranking. Almost all of the starters range between decent and phenomenal, so I will be comparing them to each other, not to other Pokémon. I will also be judging them based on how they would perform in a regular playthrough. So there will be no access to egg moves, optimal IV's etc., and Pokémon will carry a similar moveset and EV spread throughout, rather than the player training an optimized team for every single important fight, like you would in a challenge run with debug. Pokémon Reborn is also balanced in a unique way compared to other Pokémon games. The offensive teams and field effects create a very offensive and volatile environment that benefits some Pokémon more than others. I will only be considering the "important" battles in the game (Gym Leaders, Meteor Admins, PULSE's, Rivals etc.), and only battles that are currently in the game. I will not be considering E19 battles, with the exception of Saphira. While we don't quite know what her team looks like, the nature of Dragon's Den gives us a fairly clear idea of what will be good there and what won't. I will also be considering the oppurtunity cost. If there are other Pokémon that can do the same thing as a starter with similar or higher levels of success, that will impact the value you would actually get from using that starter. With that said, here is the list of starters. I will be going from highest to lowest, so you will be seeing the best option first. S+ Tier I had to make a separate tier for Blaziken. While the other S tier starters are very good, no other Pokémon has the ability to solo the majority of the game in the same way. Torchic There is really not a lot to say about Blaziken. Speed Boost is one of the best abilities in the game, especially combined with a Pokémon that gets access to Bulk Up by the time you battle Corey. It gets access to very strong STAB options once you get access to the move relearner, and some solid coverage options through TM's and Move Tutors. Blaziken is capable of sweeping a lot, if not the majority, of important battles in Reborn, and can do some solid damage to the rest. S Tier Starters in S tier are incredible throughout the entire game, without taking too long to become useful, or falling off towards the end of the game, and will carry teams throughout entire playthroughs. Froakie Greninja's amazing speed comes in very handy against the many offensive threats in Reborn, but the main reason for it's power is obviously Protean. While it can't make great use of it early game, once you reach the mid-late game stages, you unlock more tutors, TM's and level up moves that makes it one of the most versatile Pokémon in the game. Along with its many great support options such as Spikes and Mat Block, Greninja and is able to put in good work in any situation you put it in. Chimchar Similarly to Greninja, the combination of good speed, offense and coverage options is very valuable in a game like Reborn. While it can't quite match Greninja's versatility, or Blaziken's sweeping potential, Infernape has early access to very powerful STAB moves and priority paired with a fantastic offensive typing, making it one of the best revenge killers in the game. A Tier Starters in A tier aren't quite as versatile as those in S tier, but still fill an important role on a team, and generally perform that role better than its competitors, making them invaluable and hard to replace. Popplio This might be surprisingly high up on the list for some. However, Primarina has the single highest natural offensive stat out of all the starters, along with adequate bulk and one of the best typings in the game, both defensively and offensively. Water/Fairy allows Primarina to matchup well into the majority of gyms outside of the early game, as well as the many Rock and Ground types in Team Meteor. It gets access to very powerful STAB moves in Moonblast and Sparkling Aria relatively early on, as well as Encore, one of the best support moves in the game. The combination of Liquid Voice and Hyper Voice is also very useful against many of the double battles in the game. It is also noteworthy that Primarina might be one of the best answers to Saphira in E19, as it is not only immune to Dragon, but also deals with Fire and Steel type attacks better than other Fairy types would. Cyndaquil Typhlosion is known for doing one thing: fast Eruptions. And that is something it does very well. Through the move relearner, Eruption can be learned before the player even battles Aya, which is ridiculously powerful for this point in the game. It also has the ability to set several battle fields on fire, further powering up it's Fire-type attacks by 2.25x, and access to Flash Fire allows you to fight fire with fire against Charlotte. While Typhlosion is still rendered useless in some fights, it's normally sub-par versatility is compensated heavily by it's access to Nature Power. Snivy Serperior is another one-trick pony. While it isn't terrible early on, with natural access to Nature Power, Leech Seed, Coil and Giga Drain, what lands Serperior such a high spot on the list is the ability to spam Contrary Leaf Storms. While it becomes available quite late, around the time you fight Luna, once you actually reach that point, Serperior is one of the best Pokémon in the game, being able to sweep or dent several teams in the Reborn mid-late game. It is also one of the fastest starters available, which is always important. B Tier Pokémon in B tier are solid Pokémon that fulfill a unique function, but are held back in one way or another that prevents them from carrying teams like the Pokémon above can. Mudkip With the highest Base Stat Total out of all the starters, and one of the best defensive typings in the game, Swampert is known to be one of the most well-rounded Pokémon there is. Swampert has natural access to Earthquake, which is more than some Ground types can manage, as well as Water-type STAB, coverage options such as Rock Slide and Sludge Wave, and learning Protect by level-up, which is phenomenal. Although it's Mega Evolution is not available as of now, it will definetely be a strong sweeping option on Rain teams in the late game. While Swampert fills the role of a bulky mixed attacker very well, it is a lot easier to replace than the A tier starters, which is why it lands at the top of B tier instead. DISCLAIMER: If you have played VGC in the past few years, I recommend that you avert your eyes from this section. Litten When playing against an AI, Intimidate may very well be the very best Ability in the game, especially in the many Double Battles of Reborn. Incineroar happens to one of the best users of this Ability, with it's good Attack and Defenses, and Fire/Dark granting a very unique set of resistances. While it's potential as a support Pokémon is crippled by moves like Fake Out, Parting Shot and U-Turn being unavailable in one way or another, Incineroar's good natural bulk, attack, early access to Bulk up, and Torracat being surprisingly strong early game still makes Litten one of the better choices in the game. Fennekin While Delphox may not seem too special, it is very useful in Reborn. It is faster than Charizard and Typhlosion, and gets access to strong dual STAB by the time you fight Shade. While this doesn't fulfill much of a niche on it's own, Delphox's Psychic typing gives it access to lots of good utility options as well, such as Switcheroo, Reflect, Light Screen, Trick Room, Magic Coat and Snatch. Delphox also benefits from Mystical Fire and Magician being heavily buffed on several fields throughout the game. Piplup The Piplup line is very mediocre in almost every way. A generic learnset, mediocre abilities, decent bulk and Special Attack, but nothing too special. However, the Steel type is so incredibly strong that it is enough to boost Empoleon up 2-3 tiers, since it has a whopping 11 resistances and immunities, while only having 3 weaknesses. It is held back by the fact that it can't learn Flash Cannon without a TM, which only becomes available after beating Titania, but simply being the only Water/Steel type in the game is enough to make Piplup an above-average starter. C Tier C tier makes a lot of these Pokémon sound a lot worse than they actually are. This tier is the middle of the pack. The Pokémon here are still strong, but can't quite compete in the higher tiers, or simply don't fill enough of a niche to be worth picking. Charmander The Charmander line is identical to the Cyndaquil line in terms of stats. And while Charizard gets access to decently powerful moves early on, missing out on Eruption, Nature Power and Flash Fire cripples Charizard's ability to be a fast nuke like Typhlosion. Charizard still gets access to some very good moves though, and alongside it's decent Special Attack and Speed, still allows it to be a good attacker. However, it is still outclassed at that by Talonflame, which is available before Corey, is faster and gets access to priority Acrobatics and Tailwind. While early Dragon Rage might seem really good, Reborn's high level curve means it will fall off a lot faster than in vanilla games, and isn't really useful after Florinia. Charizard's biggest redeeming factor is it's Mega Evolutions. It's X form is strong, although Dragon Dance is an egg move and the Charizardite X is available very late, and the Charizardite Y is not available at all as of now. Treecko While being pure Grass does very little for this line, the incredible speed, very early access to Leaf Blade, good coverage and Unburden make Grovyle and Sceptile good sweepers/revenge killers. While they lack the power of other sweeping mons, and are limited by the late access to Swords Dance, the fact that almost all fast Grass types are very defensive gives Sceptile a comfortable niche. Mega Sceptile is also the fastest Dragon type in the game, which will be extremely useful against Saphira. Bulbasaur The Bulbasaur line has access to a lot of good utility, including Leech Seed, status-inducing moves and recovery. This is always a useful Pokémon to have, but the main thing holding this line back is how many other Pokémon, most notably Budew, can completely replace or even outshine it. The Mega Evolution is nice, even if it is available really late, and is extremely strong against Amaria specifically. Rowlet While Decidueye is held back by it's poor stat distribution and limited access to Swords Dance, it still fulfills a unique role, since the only other Grass/Ghost type is extremely slow. Spirit Shackle gives Decidueye access to consistent, strong physical Ghost STAB, which puts it above most other physical Ghost types. STAB Priority is also very useful to revenge kill with, and early access to reliable recovery as well as passable bulk allows Decidueye to take out some bulkier opponents. Tepig Emboar hits incredibly hard, with access to strong STAB attacks and coverage moves that are boosted by Reckless. But that is about the extent to which this line is useful. It is too slow and not bulky enough to survive for very long, and is heavily outclassed by the other Fire/Fightings. A straight-forward heavy-hitter is always useful, though. Turtwig Similarly to the Bulbasaur line, the Tepig line gets access to a lot of good utility such as Leech Seed and Synthesis. Torterra also has the advantage of a unique typing, as well as learing Earthquake extremely early. However, it doesn't hit quite as hard as it feels like it should, and doesn't offer nearly as useful resistances as other Grass types, and its weaknesses to common types makes its low speed easy to exploit, and prevents it from being a great defensive wall. D Tier Pokémon in D tier aren't bad, but don't fulfill much of a niche over other similar Pokémon. Chespin Chesnaught has decent defensive stats, and a decent defensive Ability, but is held back heavily by having a terrible defensive typing. While it is too slow to utilise its offensive tools, it has access to some very good support options, most importantly Leech Seed+Spiky Shield. It is still quite vulnerable, but it's movepool is enough to place it at the top of this tier. Oshawott Considering it's mediocre stat distribution and abilities, I initially thought Samurott had nothing going for it over the other pure Water types. However, it gets access to Swords Dance by level up, which automatically puts it above everything else in this tier. While it has access to Aqua Jet, it's still slightly too slow and weak to properly sweep, but it still poses a bit of a threat. Totodile Sheer Force is a great Ability. However, without easy access to Dragon Dance, Feraligatr doesn't make great use of it. It is an alright, basic Water type that hits pretty hard once it actually gets access to good Water-type attacks, but is very mediocre across the board. Squirtle Very similar to Totodile, except it is more defensive and with a worse Ability. Blastoise doesn't do much that most Water types can't, and is unfortunately very redundant because of it. While it's Mega Evolution makes it better, it is still worse than most other Megas, and is also available too late into the game to really help it. F Tier Meganium Chikorita There really isn't much to say. Pure Grass was already bad on Serperior and Sceptile, but Meganium doesn't have any tools to compensate at all. It gets access to the same support options as most Grass types, but it doesn't really do anything beyond that. So that is my ranking! If you have any thoughts or critisisms, I would love to hear them!

  35. There is now a Mystery Dungeon engine, fully modifiable: https://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?p=10405447 (PMD Origins). The story content in it is truly absent, but it is basically complete mechanic-wise. Frankly I am amazed at the amount of work this has in, as it is a thing made from scratch (doesn't uses an existing game engine).
