    Let's bring this dev blog back to life. 

     

    Remember when I was doing daily updates in the clusterfuck threads? Well, I've got the those going on elsewhere still, but that doesn't mean I need to keep you guys in the dark too. From now on my plan will be to collect and summarize the updates from there in weekly or semi-weekly posts here. This is suppose to be a dev blog after all, not just an announcement zone, so no point in keeping it hush hush for weeks at a time.

     

    That said, I actually do have an announcement today. Some number of weeks ago back in the droll march through Tourmaline's development, I realized that the mapping side of things has been reliably taking approximately way too fucking long. So I decided to get some help on it. I asked a couple of friends to take up some loose ends on the desert map, allowing me to go work on other areas in the mean time. And after clearing their trial by fire in Cliff Hell (seriously. you don't even know) I'm officially announcing them as part of the team. 

     

    Please say hello to @JazzyFur and @Sazane! They'll be the project's new mappers and will allow me to move through making areas much quicker. With the desert finished per example already, they'll be starting on some of the other yet-unfinished-areas in E17 while I charge ahead to eventing and other horizons. They've already saved me a huge amount of time on Tourmaline, and I'm sure they'll continue to be invaluable. 

     

    As for other goings-on, the only area I have left to map is one that I've been looking forward to for a long time, but I'll keep the details of that to myself for now... Just know that we are ever-quickening and closing into progress here. ^^

    Well first thank you at the new members for their effort.

     

    While I do love the idea of (bi-)weekly updates. My question is how are you going to present them? I mean Develoment blog has limmitted space on the front page and if you keep creating new posts you will push out content quite quickly (I know they are in records but it is not that intuitive in my opinion) , keep them in one thread and you might get the situation where your posts drown in the member's post situation like the episode threads.

    Curses! My plans to inevitably delay E17 until next year have been foiled.

     

    Anyways, I'm glad you found help for the mapping and honestly, it's not surprising to see Jazzyfur helping out. As for the whole update stuff, I've been here before the whole status bar back in the day when episode releases just kind of randomly happened. But anyways, I think just a little status update on the progress bar once a week (probably twice a week) is more than sufficient enough as rarely will there be enough to give an update like this. Mostly to say "hey we're still alive and kickin' it".

     

    I'm totally not saying that because it's totally not the thing I look for daily on the blog.

    The older development content should still be there at least for the people who want to read it but I don't think pushing out old things is so bad. Most people coming here will be looking to see the latest updates every time, and older development will be less and less relevant as time passes.

    At what point would Pokemon Reborn be "complete"?

    Finished E16 a couple of days after first launch and since then, completed my second playthrough a couple of days ago...
    However with the events of E16, I started to think about how many more Episodes we can expect...
    (Please don't take it in a bad way, I'm just curious)

    However this game has been the best Pokemon game I've played ever, so many thing done so right its amazing how unique you devs made the storyline (first downloaded back when E12 went live).

    Congratulations on the amazing game and more of Marcello messing around with Exeggutor plz

    As far as was stated somewhen in the past, Reborn will have 19 episodes (unless of course Ame decides otherwise)

    i just want to say awesome game, and glad that things are improving and picking up. i cannot wait to head into the desert and play around in the new areas. and ty ame and the rest of the dev team who i know are continually making this game truly wonderful.
