    hello

    so there are some features that ame had thought she might or might not eventually implement into the game, probably very late in development after everything else was done

    unfortunately, ame is very impulsive

    and thus, she decided to do them immediately.

     

    as of episode 19, new players starting the game will be given an option for 'special instructions', or the ability to enter a text password during the intro. the passwords available for this are listed in the readme, but i'll talk about their effects here:

     

    • Password: hardcap
      - Changes Reborn's level cap to a hard cap in which Pokemon no longer gain EXP once they hit it, a la Rejuvenation
    • Password: mono(type)
      - Where (type) can be replaced by any of the 18 types, guarantees that all randomized early game events, including the mystery egg, will generate with Pokemon of the chosen type when possible. Also adds an early game Rock and Ice type so those types have something before Julia.
    • Password: nuzlocke
      Prevents Pokemon from being healed when their HP drops to 0. Can be turned off after a loss. In order to account for different types of lockes, no other restrictions are applied.
    • Password: randomizer
      - Randomly shuffles Pokemon species and moves around for a playthrough. Online play is disabled in this mode. Shout out to @HauDareYou for the initial framework. 
    • Password: easyhms
      - Allows any Pokemon to use any TMX move provided the machine and badge are held. Thanks to @Waynolt for letting us integrate this one.

     

    there are also other hidden passwords that can be found in-game...

     

    any of these passwords can be used with each other, including the monotype ones for dualtype runs. however, i don't promise there won't be some wacky interactions. who knows, really

    normally? no. however, it will be easy to do with debug mode.

    Finally caught up to the current episode after taking a break at the fairy gym, and I'm glad I finished it. Keep up the good work, can't wait for new changes in the future. Definitely a game I'd enjoy replaying.

    I don't know what it should do, but 'budew' definitely needs to do something as a password.

    Thanks for the answer; as for password ideas well I do have one. Perhaps a password that shuffles and randomly distributes all your Relationship Points to different characters, or one that shows you just how much rp you have with each character.

    These look amazing, can't wait for the last episode to drop! Even if it's a year or two, I will wait!

    What about multiple save-files like Reju has? That's a really cool feature I would like to see!

    Yet, is there a point in going out of your way to prevent cheesing when there are much more effective cheating tools out there?

    not if activating the monotype prevents you from using any other pokemon line in battle :   ^)

    Wow this is a really good addition to the game, it sounds really cool thank you !

    But I don't understand, if we can discover new passwords in-game, how do we activate them then? If I understood correctly we can only activate the passwords during the intro at the beginning of the game?

     

    As for a suggestion, I would really love a password that would enable a "Egg hatcher" that would allow us to hatch eggs quickly. I love breeding my own pokemon, with prefect IVs, but that takes a hella lot of time. I think it could be a nice reward, maybe after hatching a certain number of eggs the player could unlock this password.

    The idea of the in-game password is that they're there for you to discover them. You'd have to then use them on a subsequent playthrough.

    Hi, I'm pretty late to this post, but a way to get a 0 exp mode (i.e. you can never earn exp outside of rare candies/common candies since idk if you could actually stop those from leveling without making new items) without needing rpg maker xp would be nice, so there's my suggestion.

    Well, this is awesome.

    One suggestion for an additional password though - how about "eggmoves" or something like that? That would make all a Pokemon's egg moves be learnable through the move tutor, just to cut down on time spent breeding all the right egg moves on.

    I'd like to make a suggestion

     

    You know how the Old Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2 games had cups for certain pokemon? Well why not do the same with the Reborn Password system?

     

    babies - stage 1 pokemon are only available for you and your opponents to use

     

    rental - each major fight has a random team of 6 including your own

     

    everstone - NFE pokemon are the only used pokemon and they can't reach their final evolution stages

     

    Australia - Pokemon with weather changing abilities are frequently found in the wild and every team is a weather team

    (for those of you who don't understand the reference: Every Australian says you experience all 4 seasons in 1 day, from personal experience on a visit this turned out to be true)

     

    Butterfingers - held items are disabled along with trainer items in battle, except the pokeball and its variations for obvious reasons.

    the game is really soo difficult and then adding a nuzlocke challenge ... you will be killing us but Keep the good work. Still keep up the good work. You guys are truly awesome

    Love the passwords system!

    I asked once per PN but will do again: if it's easy to implement, a "nickname" to remove any instance of nickname questions would be really great. The namechanger would still be there if needed
