  • [1ST POPULARITY POLL] The results are in!

    I'm not going to make a long winded post up front since I'm sure all of you want me to just get to the point, so without further ado... Here are your winners!

    There's a bit of a catch though.

     

    The plan was to give 1st place the illustration, and that stays that way! Aelita will be receiving a full illustration to go along with V13's release. However, the idea had surfaced while the polls were open to give 2nd and 3rd place artwork as well, which I really liked. Therefore, Erin will also be receiving a full illustration that will be released after V13 comes out, during V14's development. But then there's Melia.... And as much as I might probably disappoint some people with this, Melia has been featured in a lot of artwork already. After some discussion with the rest of the dev team, we've decided that the illustration will be given to Venam instead, who placed 4th! That way we can keep things fresh, and give a character that hasn't had as big of a chance in the art spotlight a full illustration instead. This illustration will also be released during V14's development, though it's possible it'll release alongside V14 instead if there's too little time to work on a second full piece. Hope you guys are looking forward to the art regardless!

     

    Now, back to the poll results... I did have to purge a couple of submissions or deem some invalid due to them being repeat votes of the same thing in the same submission (or reborn characters... im looking at the ppl who voted adrienn despite me having said the cameo characters dONT COUNT), so not *all* of the votes are listed -- especially for the things/people that only got one vote -- but here's a couple of the funnier ones we've seen between the answers/votes!

    So, how do you guys feel about the results? Were they as expected, or are a couple of placement surprising to you? Feel free to discuss it!

    Thank you all for voting in the poll! This was a blast. Maybe we'll host another one of these in a couple of years once we're a couple versions further!

    Out of curiosity, would it be possible to get the character pictures in this as an individual thing? If not, I fully understand, just thought it'd be cool. Awesome final results picture, surprised to see where some things ended up! Looking forward to the future artwork, and the full illustrations!

    (Well, can't be sure in Crescent's, Madame X' and Lorna's cases, but I'm guessing they're happy, too.)

    ah THE BEST GIRL HIERARCHY has finally been established 😾😾 however the Melia army will return again... much stronger than before. The Aelita army can only hold that spot from us for so long🤭

    I'm more than satisfied with the results given how the top three happened to be the three I voted for; a shame about Melia but I perfectly understand your decision to give Venam her place (I'm sure she would have no problem giving her place to Venam). Will be looking forward to seeing the illustrations when they come out.

    It's nice to see that some characters are still getting new overworld sprites that look even better than before. I'm surprised Cella only got 3 votes. I thought she was a very well-made character that fits in well with the story.

     

    Also I'm surprised that 6 people spelled Casssandra with 3 s's.

    Next time i too shall take part in the popularity votes since i was too late.  Didn't know there was a popularity vote until it was too late. [ sorry in advance for missing it.]         

     

    PS : the art works looks too good. Absolutely love it.

    I'm a bit late but looks like my prediction of Aelita winning was spot on. Which I'm happy about since she was one of my picks. What I didn't expect was the 2nd place spot to be so contested or to see Erin up so high. A bit disappointed Crescent's not higher though but at least she's top 10.

     

    As for artwork thing, I'm kinda conflicted since it was suppose to just the top one getting anyway so nothing's technically lost, but at the same time it seems kinda low to set up the rules and then just change them after the fact because you don't like the result. I mean we knew Melia already had a couple of artworks before the poll so the only new information is the vote count. I mean if you wanna draw Venam to put her in the art spotlight or whatever, then just draw her. Nobody would complain. There's no need to come up with these excuses.

    ??? In no way were the rules changed? They clearly said 1st place was getting something. The top three thing was discussed primarily as an extra way after the polls were even created. It was never added to the rule set as it was supposed to be a surprise.  We as a dev team discussed and came to this conclusion. There are no excuses here. As you said, nothing was lost, so I don't understand the issue here?

    I'm not very active on here anymore so again I'm responding a bit late but obviously the thing I was referring to was OP post saying "the idea had surfaced while the polls were open to give 2nd and 3rd place artwork as well" but then because you didn't like who got 2nd place, you just went with Venam instead. It's literally written right in the post.

    So that's my "issue" even though I understand perfectly that on a base level you guys aren't obligated to do anything in the first place. I'm just voicing my opinion that it seems like a less than ideal (to avoid using a harsher word) way of doing things.

  • V14 is still very much in active development! We just can't show anything that's not OOC nonsense from the devs because it's all spoilers. Sorry!

     

    As of 26/10/2024... Paragon Part 1 of V14 is complete, and Part 2 and 3 are being worked on! Renegade has not been touched yet. Please bear with us 🙏

     

    Enjoy some more nonsense in the meantime!
