    Testing has begun (a week ago)! You know what that means! 
    It's time for me to be drowned in bugs woohoo.

    I started testing phase with 3 quests unfinished because im confident that i can finish them before this stage of testing phase can be completed (he's not that confident.) 🎈

     

    I'm sure there are some new folks. Let's talk about how the testing phase goes.

    There are three Stages.
    Stage 1: Internal : Developers get together to test and laugh, and laugh, and laugh. I don't laugh. I fix bugs. I cry. 🎈
    Stage 2: Alpha : Small selected individuals are brought together to test and laugh, and laugh, and laugh. I fix bugs. I cry. 🎈
    Stage 3 Beta : Patreon folk are brought together to test and laugh, and laugh, and laugh. I fix bugs. I cry more. 🎈

     

    We are currently in Stage 1. There is no set period of how long each stage takes. It is simply just how severe the amt of bugs are + the speed of the playthroughs. Each time testing takes a little longer bc game big. I fix bugs. 🎈

     

    What's next ? 

     

    Well, sometime before release I'll be releasing a post on how to make sure your save files aren't completely busted when u load up v13.5! 
    Here, I'll give you a preview. If your game is at any point on or after terajuma, but before the end of v13 main story-- just finish your playthroughs. please. if you load up the game mid arc. its gonna blow up.

    ur gonna die, man. you're just gonna die.🎉 Let me make it more clear: If your files are anywhere in these sections::::::::
    Chapter 1 - ur gonna die
    Chapter 2 - omg ur living, just dont load on route 2.
    Chapter 3 - omg ur living
    Chapter 4 - omg ur living
    Chapter 5 - omg ur living
    Chapter 6 - ur gonna die
    Chapter 7 - ur gonna die
    Chapter 8 - ur gonna die
    Chapter 9 - ur gonna die
    Chapter 10 - ur gonna die
    Chapter 11 - ur gonna die
    Chapter 12 - ur gonna die
    Chapter 13 - ur gonna die
    Chapter 14 - ur gonna die
    Chapter 15 - Defeat Saki first or else... say it with me, ur gonna die🎈

    the reason for this is that story variables have changed. If you just walk into terajuma on old files without your save files being configured, ur gonna die. 🎈\

    Oh my god! I can't wait! Keep up the good work Jan! If anyone gives you a hard time, just let me know okay? As a dev myself, looking at this makes me so happy that your update is almost coming out. Meanwhile, I'm over here working on v5. I'm so hyped for this!

    Ugh, you and all your improvements to old parts of the game. It's so annoying how you do this and suddenly I have to start a new game so I can see absolutely everything that's changed and lose my mind about how good it is and how talented you are. Just really quite upsetting to me. And rude of you. Yeah, I'm definitely genuinely upset right now.

    I'm surprised how Jan still likes Sewaddle, with so many bugs to fix, the Bug type would be my least favorite.

    Yeah that's her legacy sprite. All the legacy sprites were upgraded into legendary sprites. Aevia is just one of the many legends.

    the fear in my heart when i read that we shouldn't update if we're on terajuma, knowing that i stopped playing right before angie

    and the happiness i felt when i found out my pc managed to keep a save from when i was still in blacksteeple castle

    no idea why it decided to make this jump in save file backup tho

    really excited about the update, and hoping i can manage to keep my teila resort save

    Im super excited. I cleared the whole game up until v13 like 3 monhts ago. Will it be worth to restart the whole journey again? Or do I just start after Saki and then after I beat the whole game I try to start from the beggining. I fear It might be a bit of a repeat until I reach saki again. Awesome work tho, super excited!

    It seems like all of Terajuma is getting a redesign, so it seems worthy of a replay to me.

    I am real happy and conflicted at the same time...i don't know wether to wait for a full release of the game or if i should play it right now.

    I've been waiting years for the opportunity to do so but i always held back myself saying to myself "just be patient until the full release of the game to enjoy it to the fullest instead of playing separate parts one by one"

     

    Either way happy you are all still passionate about this big ass project after all these years

    Can't wait for the full release :D

    First, devs, what did you change in chapter 1 to make it not work, and why does that not carry over to chapters 2-5?

    Also, it'll probably be a long time before I play 13.5, as my Reborn E19 run still has a long way to go. (played Rejuv V13 for 16 months from Jul '21 - Nov '22, then started Reborn in December. Only at 7 badges currently in Reborn after 7 months.)

    Play it now! It's already so great as it is now, even without knowing how it ends.

    I'm wondering if I should just start a new game. Its only 70 hours of game data for where I'm at. Before anyone asks, yes I am indeed a Gamer to the core. I will no life the new update from start of the game to the end just to see what is new. It would be better than my save data just not working on the new update.

    It turns out my first save was 53 hours in lmfao........ and now I'm sad because It was at badge 5. Now just realizing that cant be right, did it delete my old saves after I reached a certain amount?

    Sort of. You have to manually set it up that way but after 50 save game states it starts deleting the oldest ones. If you make the backups say, 100, that tells the game to never delete backup saves. Default is 50, but you can make it go higher.

     

    No clue if making more backup states make the computer lag at any point but still.

    I like this update! Really gonna be a good one, though I imagine that since 13.5 is having the Terajuma story beats be accessible later (likely way later) than intended might cause some problems going to v14, needing to move it around and all. But I'm sure you guys will figure it out.

     

    Surprised that the Hisuian variants are coming in though. I was under the impression that they would come v14 since 13.5 was more focused on the extra content and move pool wise making some of the pokemon have their SWSH DLC movesets. But if you guys managed to squeeze them in, then that works.

     

    I have to ask for clarification though, it says that if you beat Saki you're fine, but are there any locations that you should avoid loading in (Terajuma being the obvious example) to avoid save file breaking? Like would Sashila Village be a good place to load in after the fact? Can answer that later since you guys wouldn't likely know at the moment.

    They generally warn about places you shouldn't load from previous version in the post with new version, likely will be the same case here.

    Also, I'm glad you give us info this early on where we shouldn't load, but I think I will start from the scratch to experience everything you prepared for us. I love your work!

    Hello, new player here! Is it worth starting a new playthrough right now? Or should I wait for V13.5? Additional question, that last statement about where NOT to load from a patch implies that you could carry through your save file if you beat Saki (whoever that is). Is that statement true?

    Glad to see this getting a relase date soon man been with this game since  think 2016 or so man great stuff. with this, desolation and reborn these games are the holy trinity for rpg maker fan games for me. again cant wat for more content god speed

  • V14 is still very much in active development! We just can't show anything that's not OOC nonsense from the devs because it's all spoilers. Sorry!

     

    As of 26/10/2024... Paragon Part 1 of V14 is complete, and Part 2 and 3 are being worked on! Renegade has not been touched yet. Please bear with us 🙏
